Rework WTF for Illuminati. They had the option to make it this massive category and provide reworks to characters who desperately need it and instead chose to minimize the category significantly. They could have done Beast, Doctor Strange, and so many others. Make it massive like the s6 reworks

After the last events and now this, scopely has made their intentions clear, you need to pay silly amounts to compete then my plan is finish DD7 and probably leave after that. (The shuri and hank pym orbs were the breaking point of disrespect for me)

FTP player and I pulled a 100 shard Pym. First 100 shard pulled after 4 yrs. Haven't pulled anything from th Panther shards

im from a casual alliance with mostly local players. in the last 2 years there are not enough local players, so we let in a few random people from around the world. we rarely get any new players, its mostly people from better alliances with really good rosters that come down for a few month to finish something they want to achieve and then quit. so im pretty sure all the push for new players to get to endgame is not because devs are cool that way, but more because game is bleeding "middle class" (small spenders or f2p hardcore grinders) in alarming rate and probably it has been like that for more than a year now

When it was hey give us $20 to get more shards for the Black Knight you unlocked it was okay. But spend hundreds to unlock Captain Britain because they might hold back shards like with Old Man Logan is just more than my wallet can take.

I think Scopely is testing the waters to see what they can get away with without upsetting the majority of the gamers. Once they find out, they will brings this stuff back but in smaller doses to make it more accepted by the community. In the end I think this stuff will come back with a vengeance.

It's been worse for a while now. Them dialing back gold, T4's, resources in general, as well as orbs of all kinds while making alot of mandatory new teams at high frequency does not make a good experience. You have regular raids, Spotlight raids, Legendary unlock teams, Arena teams, Crucible teams and DD characters. Then in the near future, the rumored Battle World or whatever it's called. All this while they take away resources to build them. And alot of players gush over these new toys. Like WTF is this logic?

I’m right there with you. I was a spender, bought all the passes and some other stuff here and there. I’ll not be treated like a second class citizen in a game I pay $100+ a month to play.

I went ahead and bought 3 of the $4.99 pym orbs and 2 BP Shuri and I was able to unlock both characters. $25 got me both. I’m cheap and don’t consider myself a whale, I never will spend $80/month or $50-$100 for characters. For a game I’ve been playing for 6 years, I’m not ready to give up, but it is shotty of Scopely forcing people to open their wallets in order to compete. I prefer the grind and not having to pay to get ahead.

The business cost of having to run things back/redo content is far greater than releasing content that won’t outrage the community continually. It feels like they don’t know that, which is pretty concerning.

This happens every time they royally screw up, they acknowledge the issue and pledge to do better in the future. They only thing they'll doo better at is disguising how they implement the next pay to play instance. It will not go away pay to play is where the game is at and it's here to stay. When the only thing they care about is money then creating an enjoyable and engaging experience for players of all levels goes out the window.

It's not that complicated, everything needs to be geared towards the following seven groups: 1. New players: Need to be able to participate in everything up to 50% of the content, and need to be able to at least unlock every character at release at one star. 2. FTP with moderate participation: Needs to be able to progress to 60% of all content, should be able to obtain new characters at release at two stars. 3. FTP with daily participation: 70% progress into all content, new characters unlocked at three stars. 4. FTP grinders: 80% progress into all content and new characters at four stars. 5. Spenders: 90% progress in all content, new characters unlocked at five stars. 6. Whales: 100% progress in all content, new characters unlocked at six stars. 7. Krakens: Breeze through 100% of all contents and new characters unlocked at seven stars. Hire a basic mathmetician and have them balance everything to your seven categories of players. It couldn't be simpler or more obvious.

Boilon, i have spent 13k on the game over the past 4.5 years. I can honestly say that since the captain brittain announcement my entire alliance with similar spending has all stopped. We agreed that star gates coming back is too far. I can also say that the passes even feel like a spit in the face. If they kept it the same for 5 bucks a week that would be fine but 20 a week for a mobile game is just predatory. Everything since apocalypse has been milk milk milk. But what has really always bothered my alliance is the t4 issue and the cost to just buy them.

Boilon brother, do not apologize for being right. Scopely knows EXACTLY what they are doing. They're going to push as far as possible to milk as much money from people as they can. The only reason they are backpedaling is because they've seen people ACTUALLY quit who have significant investment in the game already. I have completely cut off ALL of my spending permanently until they reverse the course of the game. I was buying both passes every month, but I can't support a game that wants people to spend hundreds of dollars every month on must-buy characters to stay even remotely competitive. That's several full triple-A games worth of money EVERY MONTH. It's an awful value per dollar. Sit and really think about how much money it takes to max our a new character in a reasonable amount of time. It's ridiculous. People are paying that much for CHARACTERS in a game. It's so damn dumb. I wouldn't care if they were available to earn in game in a reasonable time or the power gap wasn't so big between existing characters and new releases. They make it to where you HAVE to have them, even to progress in non-competitive modes (Alpha Flight/Spotlight). The game is spiraling hard and if Scopely do not SEVERELY change how they're monetizing the game and designing events, it's going to die. Maybe they're just cashing out. It sure seems like it.

The only language scopely speak/read is... $$$. The route cause of the problem is greed, the only reason why there is any form of back peddling is because they risk or maybe already are losing money. Less promotion from CC youtube videos, is less attention. That means less money being spent. I totally understand they're a business, they need to make a profit. But this is not how you do it, not only do you need to spend money to make money. But if they're struggling to make a profit, then they need to take a closer look at themselves first. Before conning and exploiting the players who usually enjoy your game. Maybe they should make cuts within their ranks, or spend less. So they don't have to rely on players putting down a mortgage, just to keep up. Edit. You mention all the list of issues on their website. Maybe they need to do less throughout the week/month, so they can put more time, effort and focus into what they're releasing. Maybe that will also mean spending less money on their end, which will mean less relying on players to spend?

I'll always just be grateful for this game as it's still free and maybe the spenders deserve to have higher stuff and I'm a Free to play player and I figured I'll unlock everything sooner then later just I got to grind hard for it

I m a F'2P player. and i got the hank from the free 30 orbs. and he carries the nodes not even a dent on the chracters and he is gear 14

I got a PS5 for Christmas and grabbed Balders Gate III. I think the game was under $100. My first run was well over 100hrs of game time. The story, the game play, the voice acting, so much fun. You start to think of the programming it took, the planning, the execution. Very complex, difficult but they did it. I compare that to MSF. The entertainment value, the cost, near distain for the players and the hyper capitalist approach. It’s hot garbage. I’ll continue to play, but I consider it a badge of honor to not give these guys a penny anymore. I have easily sunk as much as the cost of a PS5 and game into this, and until they show more than just trying to suck money out of people, and actually improve the entertainment value, offer value, they are not getting another penny.

Scopely is so worried about losing money that they think new characters are the solution. I don’t understand why people play only for new characters. Is it fun? In my opinion, no. Where is the new mode in this game? Why do we have war three times instead of twice? With Crucible, which takes a lot of time, or Dark Dimensions, which takes 1 to 2 months, the question is: how can you improve? It’s supposed to be fun, but grinding for characters? Are we serious? Is this what the game is about? Take chess, a game that is hundreds of years old and still played today. What makes a game great? These programmers need to understand how to make the game more exciting, not just how to make more money. Success comes before rewards, in life and in gaming. The game lost momentum because they are in panic mode, chasing money. Instead, they should look from a different perspective. Is the community engaged? Are the developers actually playing the game, or are they just working on it? This is the top issue to blame. No solution, no change.

It's just about money, they don't really care about the community or the feedback. I use to play a game called Raid: Shadow Legends for almost 3 years. I really enjoyed the game a lot, it became the only one I played on mobile. Plarium (the devs), within the past year, started doing the same thing. They made it very difficult to play events unless you put money into it, which were access to new characters. It's just made it far less enjoyable than it use to be so I quit playing and wanted to find a new game to play. Looks like I'll be soon making the same choice with this one.

Kinda crazy, most company’s would walk over hot coals to have passionate brand advocates, the fact scopely is choosing not to it just plain bad business governance. Dorky said it well, when you can’t play the game with friends because they paywall sh*t it’s time to find a new game. Love this game but this sh*t is either total stupidity or scopely don’t give a rats ass.

I went way out of character and bought Shuri and Pym to 5 stars and to date have done nothing with them but build them up to 90 G17 and Blue 4. They're just 250$ paper weights in my account. Doesn't feel rewarding or like my money or patronage has gotten me anything.

They’re definitely aware of what they’re doing. It’s like kids testing the limits with their parents. They’re seeing how much they can get away with before it becomes too much for people.

I gave up the game a few years ago haven grown bored of it feeling like a second unpaid job more than a game. I said at the time Scopely would run the game into the ground with pay to win mechanics based on their other games at the time. It's taken a bit longer than expected but seems the time has come now for msf as well.

Are there any Marvel games out there that is worth our time playing instead of MSF? I need another option in case things got worse.

As someone who has been buying the strike pass/battle pass. This just feels like my $80 monthly payment isn't enough for them. These kind of decisions does however change my spending habits, unfortuantely not in the way Scopely would like.

As much as i hate to say this, the envoys have left a few times, so im not putting much faith in that, i think they will be back.

In some ways, it does have some positive effects. If you think about it, a game like this is at its best when everyone is on an even playing field. By making the cost so unreasonable to the vast majority of their player base, they can actually get people to stop all spending and create a much larger pool of people close to or truly ftp while funding the whole operation nearly entirely by people with large sums of money. If they could actually manage to create that type of environment, then it would ultimately be a game with option to spend but with a competitive ftp base and a small fraction of players actually building the characters at release. If FTP players choose to have a mentality that it really doesn't matter as long as all tasks are completed each day and optimal building decisions are made they can get ahead of most people (with similar starting date), that if they cannot get a newly available character even then, then neither can any other ftp player so no one is at a disadvantage within the vast majority, then it would create a much more competitive and fair environment. It is worth noting that there is no winning in this game. There is no finishing. There is no end. Its not about the destination but the journey and all that stuff. The game is a marathon. They have a habit of making ever stronger releases to make older content obsolete, but even if they do this if the vast majority of players are forced to ftp it just does not matter. Let the rich fund the game, I say, while we enjoy it for what it is. That all said, this release is ridiculous. Scopely and other companies like it are in uncharted territory. This is one of the most successful games of its kind and the legal system has not fully reacted to their existence. Since the games are tailored for children, but charge very adult prices, it is inevitable that companies like this will be taken to court for their any predatory practices. Scopely clearly is walking a fine line with this decision. People can most definitely choose to not give them their own money, but we all know how easy it is to just spend a few dollars here and there and not notice it adding up. They make no effort to inform you of the grand total spend over any period of time, just leaving it to you to realize how much you are spending. The system is unequivocally predatory and they will likely pay some amount of compensation one day in a class action law suit to perhaps everyone who ever made a deposit to them, even if pennies on the dollars spent. They likely even understand this to be a real possibility and are preparing for the day in spite of it not yet arriving because they understand that their practices are predatory. It is like the cigarette industry in its infancy. A drug just the same and one that can sap people's retirements if they aren't careful. This whole topic is complex. They should make everything achievable as ftp if one were to do all the daily requirements, plain and simple. Not 7 star unlock but access. This constant milestones requiring pay-to-play star levels of characters is obvious signaling of what they intend to do as a method to encourage sales. I would recommend they make the sales of new characters 1000 dollars and then do whatever they want after that while telling people "we are forcing this game to be free to play and funded only by rich. If you are not rich, do not pretend to be and buy this character. If you can afford it, well, what are you waiting for, the game to fail? We will tune the game to free to play while making sure paying players maintain their honored place of dominance as a superfunder in the community. Apologies for it taking us so long to realize how to go about getting the best of both worlds. Mid-spenders, you will thank us later for saving your money when you inevitably quit the game because life is more important than any game but sometimes its fun to enjoy a work of art with some friends."

The 3 free redeem codes they just put out after the envoy CC tournament don't work.. Out of my entire alliance only 2 ppl have been able to claim them... I've been trying to claim them since they came out and nothing, ut says unable to claim.. This games all around is a hot fukn mess from the codes all the eay to being pay to play now & also every other day we get a notice about milestone rewards not oaying out right & leaderboards being messed up, shits crazy messy... Scopely has to do better asap for all the ppl playing that have spent thousands & thousands of dollars to the f2p players...

The game will endure this. Next time Captain Britain will be unlocked, it'll 100% sure be more f2p friendly, and eventually he will be farmable in incursion campaign or somehow else. This is how the game has always been, sometimes you get stuff for free instantly, sometimes you don't, and if you do not get a new character 1st try, fine, you'll get him later anyway. If you're f2p like me but expect to get everything new in game immediately, you're just bound to get toxic by all p2w stuff. I'm f2p, I don't get all new stuff 1st try and I fell behind other players years ago, but I still find the game highly enjoyable and satisfying. Sure I admit it would be nice to get all new characters as soon as they are released and best milestone rewards, but that's just not it always, I'll just get everything I'm able to get and unlock characters at my own pace.

You are one of my favorite MSF RU-vidrs, this game has saved my life, my wife has advanced MS, so I am sitting playing this game all day everyday,I watch every one of your videos on RU-vid and am among the first to watch and like every video, I am free to Play and recently buy the strike pass and battle pass, I am recently Level 100. 👍. Recently the videos have taken a more ominous turn. I am not happy that people are quitting. People it is a game, what ever happens you are supposed to try harder not quit. This game has not been easy, I have played over 750 days, it gives you a goal to achieve. I am not happy that the people on your tube are quitting, people that I have watched in the past. That is not what I expected or respect. Please speak among yourselves and handle it differently bc I am not happy, and do not expect me to watch your channel if You come back after quitting.

I would call the waaaambulance, but dispatch is overwhelmed. I just don’t understand why so many feel so entitled and expect everything to be given to them. We are owed exactly nothing, play or don’t. It’s not an airport and departure announcements show how so many overvalue themselves. These people are going to be in for a rude surprise when they realize every game is exactly the same.
