Exactly how I feel. I am struggling with this so much right now. For me it’s my multiple miscarriages, and seeing everyone around me get pregnant and have healthy babies. I’m happy for people, but sad for myself :(

I struggle with this. I compared myself to my cousin for years she is a lawyer never struggled in school already married has a child and house already and she is younger than me. I am 33 years old still living with my parents. And doing the best I can to get into Nursing school. I am not smart academically. I withdrew from my intro to anatomy and physiology this summer.I will be retaking it this fall. I work in the school system as a paraprofessional I have the desire to be an LVN. I am praying and asking God to help me in this area. And to overcome negative thinking.

Yes, exactly Michael. I realized that I placed my ex as an idol in my life and loved Jesus less because I did the first thing. I used the happiness lie to think that once I have this person, i will be happy because I wasn’t necessarily that happy with them as I want to think. I pray that God remove our false idols and pray for those people so that thry may find their purpose in Jesus, as we are trying to do as well.

This sin is my Achilles Heel. Thank you for addressing this sin, which is very common but rarely mentioned. I freely confess my jealousy and envy, and beg for the Lord's mercy. I have made great strides through the power of the Holy Spirit, but I have yet to completely conquer this sin in myself.

With everything in me I despise this sin. I specifically struggle with this sin in regards to relationships because I myself am not in a relationship. It robs me of my joy and more importantly my love for my neighbor. I believe humility destroys envy. At the heart of envy is covetousness and pride. I have struggled with these and still struggle but I press on and do my best for Christ forsaking the feeling. I also have Gods marvellous grace which can free anyone from the bondage of sin. Amen to Jesus my savour. Great video and I hadn’t thought about envy as a tool to recognise idolatry.

#3 The mirror principal spoke to me. I feel like God is using my feelings of jealousy to reveal some idols and pride in my heart. I will use this lesson to search my heart and seek God and learn to love Him above all else. I’m not there yet, but pray that God will soften my heart and continue to mold me into the woman He wants me to be.

Life can be hard sometimes & you sometimes feel like your life is going no where stuck in the same old rut. It's easy to look at how good things are going with somebody else. Their is always gonna be somebody better than you at whatever your doing playing an instrument or maybe a better athlete than you. Never compare yourself to someone else. You don't know what they walked through in life. Or what looks good on the cover. Might not be so great behind closed doors.

Please pray for me about jealousy. God gave us only one child, who grew up only to live in a very sinful lifestyle. Im jealous of families w many kids and jealous of those whose kids have turned out well, godly, thriving, having their own families. I get so sad and jealous and even angry at God abt this. It’s been a battle for so many years. Now Im too old to have children. Our daughter is away from God & living this shameful lifestyle, she wont talk to us much bcuz we dont condone her lifestyle. All this makes me so so sad. Please pray for me! I know it’s wrong to be jealous & angry. This sadness can be overwhelming. My husband isn’t interested in fostering or adopting. He likes our quiet life. We wanted more than 1 child and prayed for many years but God didnt allow it. Thanks for your encouragement and prayers!

I have this issue where I get jealous for literally EVERYTHING. Like if they get sympathy I get jealous. If they get a compliment I get jealous. Even if they have depression I get jealous bc ik they'll get praised for it. Lord help me.

Had a dream that I was going on a trip with former coworkers that I don't like and don't like me. When I realized it was a bad dream I knew this would never happen. Feeling depressed. Diagnosed with Lupus last month. Will probably have to go on disability. I am very angry with GOD. I thought things were getting better for me. One bad thing after another keeps happening to me. The unsaved get whatever they want. I didn't get the career I wanted. I am tired of seeing everyone else succeed in life and have friends. I don't even have friends at church. I don't know what I did to have these things happen and I don't understand GOD at all. Just very depressed. Plz someone pray for me. Very tired.

All my friends are getting girlfriends and I'll admit its been extremely tough to deal with. Lately I've been feeling feel left in the dust, y'know? I have had people come for my SOUL. In other words, I'm in my happy place and a person with jealousy issues starts mess with me. I have to admit, it's frustrating and disheartening. How do you handle with people like this?

The Adventurous Daydreamer I know exactly how you feel! I've had family and friends gossip to taint my character, not celebrate my wins, etc. Very hurtful! First, don't take it too personal. Most likely they are envious and jealous of others as well. When I realized this it helped "soften the blow." Pray for strength and power of the Holy Spirit to genuinely love(not hold the offense against them,etc) the person after they've wronged you. This won't come overnight but God will grace you with this strength. Secondly, the scripture God gave me was Matthew 10:16 Be wise as serpents and innocent as a dove. Use wisdom. Set healthy boundaries and remember that this a stronghold that the enemy has over THEIR life. They are in bondage. They need your faithful prayers. Don't allow your flesh to combat this evil spirit but walk in the spirit. I hope this helps. Be encouraged in the Lord sister! ❤

Wow, I know this is an old video but the message is timeless. Thank you for you concise words. I find myself jealous of my older sisters (1 1/2years) passion for other believers because she feels they have been enlightened. Meaning they have received something from God that the rest of us haven’t. This was a good video. It has given me a lot to think about and address within myself. My question, however, is what does one do about jealously within a marriage? My husband is addicted to video games (a another issue with in itself) So, not only do I struggle with the constant fight of his unwillingness to truly put his hobby after the marriage, I also deal with the fact that he has female friends online that he plays with. I struggle. I try to communicate to him how I feel. I try to do it respectfully and with out nagging but what ends up happening is he doesn't want to hear it or he feels he has compromised enough and therefor I need to "chill" I try to tell him that due to our history I already feel insecure and that when I am feeling left out or neglected, then I see him playing with these females it makes me crazy jealous and so hurt. From his perspective, he's just trying to play games and some of his friends happen to be females so I need to chill. Where's the balance? I'm willing to take responsibility but I don't feel honored or cared for. I do not feel heard. It's truly breaking pulling us apart. My insecurity and jealousy is pushing him away and his willingness to care and consider my heart is breaking me down and making me feel more insecure. 🙏

Man, that is a great question and one that is very difficult, if not impossible, for people to understand. It's one of those things that is a mystery. The Bible clearly teaches both that there is only ONE God (Deut. 6:4) while at the same time clearly teaching that God exists in three Persons as well. Amen you compare your happiness to others you'll never be happy with your life or yourself. Sometimes you gotta tune people out too the World is critical. A lot of people are jealous they don't wanna see you get ahead. I've been put through HELL by people who don't want you to be better than them. They don't won't you to have it. Or you to succeed they're just jealous. I've been put through humility many times. In some ways serves me right for being jealous myself & making comments. Don't let people get to you don't act like they do. Sometimes I hate walking through this World. But never let someone's few words hold you back.

This might be weird to say but I want to be honest here. I’m very Jealous of one of my 2 great friends. And how their better with girls And let me be more specific, my crush. And she’s not dating so she has a right to pick and choose who she likes. So please pray for me so I can overcome my selfishness and jealousy over my two great friends that I have.

It's not weird to say at all and it's very relatable. Sometimes we may be very jealous and envious of those closest to us, we want a quality that they have or a connection they have...I pray we can trust that who we are and what we have and who God allows us to connect with us what he wants for us for His glory

Envy is a sin but jealousy is not a sin. Our God is a jealous God as stated in the scriptures so how can God be committing a sin in being jealous if jealousy is sin. Thus jealousy is not a sin.

I wonder if there's a difference between jealousy as a feeling and jealousy as an action/allowing the feeling to spring u into jealous actions because I'm learning to sit with jealousy as a feeling i find it hard to be instantly happy for others, like ultimately I'm happy for people but right in the moment of hearing good news about someone a feeling comes over me and i think its jealousy i hate when it happens, feels like a spiritual attack so i start trying to overcome the feeling on my mind, i just wanna know if the feeling is a sin???

Im a computer enthusiast, and i my laptop is decent but not the best. I see so many people with big monitors, 144hz screens, juicy gaming pc and rgb, with triple monitor setup and i get so jealous of them and its eating me alive
