Oh, i remember this lady. It was a regular presence on the radio years ago, very successful around here. The Yamaha cartridge never let's you look bad, Bob. Excellent sound!

The Yammy was one of my best ever buys Rui - I was really lucky finding an unused example on eBay. As far as I can make out this was made by Yamaha themselves and not an OEM maker. The tapered beryllium tubed cantilever was a spin off from Yamaha's other manufacturing I believe. Whatever - it sounds good, and has nicely retro looks ;o)

I look forward to them being uploaded. Yes I did see the video and to be honest I have seen them all now. The sound quality is excellent of course, would like to hear your Technics P - Mounts. I have a P24 with a Jico stylus, not the most engaging for me but still a fine cartridge.

The p-mounts I have left (I sold a few!) are the P22 with a NOS ED202 stylus and a Jico SAS, Ortofons OMP40 and X1-MCP, a Sonus SMP4 and a Shibata-tipped AT from LPGear. Oh an Empire 1080LT too. My SL-QL1 is currently sitting unloved in a corner, so I guess I'll do some TT swapping at some point to get it back into circulation for a bit.

Muy buena canción ,esta y Orinoco Flow, son las que mas me gustan de Enya. A veces me gustaría que las voces no estuvieran tan producidas en las grabaciones. Esa Yamaha suena increíble.!

Gracias por tu comentario, Roberto! Tuve la suerte de encontrar Yamaha (sin usar) en eBay hace unos 18 meses. Fue una de mis mejores compras! Y sí, la música de Enya está muy "producida". A ella le gusta mucha reverberación. . .

Bob, I look forward to hearing your collection. Although I don't have a T4P Turntable I can mount them on an adaptor. Not ideal I know but it does work. I would include an OMP 20 in my list and as I have an OM40 I can swap out the stylus. Now you have got me thinking...!!

You'll see that I've a few videos of p-mounts in a half-inch adaptor. They seem to work well!

Hi Bob, I first heard this lady as the lead singer of Clannad, the dreamy vocals are not every ones cup of tea but as I have numerous CD's of the group and the lady herself she is plainly doing something right! Excellent vid by the way, your musical collection covers so many genres it is always a pleasure to visit the site. Are there any other cartridges that you have hidden away at the back of a drawer? Hi Nigel - thanks for your comments! I like to ring the changes for posts so there's something for (almost!) everyone, hopefully. Talking of Clannad, did you spot this one of mine: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uK6OOh6kjOg.html ? At the moment I'm cycling through my MCs. Landing on this Yammy again was like seeing an old friend ;o) My favourite video with this will probably always be music from the Man From U.N.C.L.E. film ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3YsqQgkOEPI.html. I do happen to have had a new cartridge turn up the other day - it's not mounted yet, but when run in it'll certainly feature here! Plus there are p-mounts that deserve a run out on my Technics parallel tracker. The to-do list gets longer by the day!

So there is something weird about this video, the record supposed to begin with the song Watermark and not Orinoco Flow... so the sound has maby been replaced :/ *addition: i was wrong, its a diffrent record
