Hello! I am the owner of a semi-new 2021 Skoda Enyaq IV 60 with few kilometers that I bought 4 months ago. A few weeks ago they updated the software from 3.0 to 3.7 and everything was great. Today I went to do a quick charge, it's the first one I've done, and I did it on a 360kw/h charger, well, first I plugged it into a 200kw/h one but when I saw that it didn't exceed 50kw/h of charge I decided to change to another 360kw/h charger believing that the problem was with the charger and what was my surprise when in this last one it didn't go over 50 kw/h either. I have always believed that the Enyaq IV 60 since its manufacture in 2021 the maximum charge was 50kw/h but that with subsequent updates its charging capacity rose to at least 100kw/h and when I saw your video I confirm it. The fact is that I called the workshop of the dealer where I bought it to ask for information and as I feared, they did not have the answer due to lack of knowledge and they asked me for a few days to gather information and thus give me a correct answer. At some point did your Enyaq IV60 charge at 50kwh maximum and after an update it reached the 100kw/h that you see in this video? And if so, how did you do it? Thank you very much, best regards.
@@endumetal no, I paid the extra £400 for the faster charging which was optional. Later they increased the price of the car by the same amount and made it standard. I tuck that can upgrade it off you pay them money for the optional faster charging.
@@Johnhere yeah I am very pleased with the move from the model 3, it's not a racing machine like the 3 but I'm very happy with it. 240 mile range though that is tailing off now the colder weather is coming in. I just love the Head Up Display, best feature ever
great video, I am looking at ordering my enyaq soon. is your car the Energy Blue or the race blue? I live in glasgow and keep my eye out for you :D not seen a enyaq in the wild yet
Hello and thank you for the video. Because I am collecting my Enyaq 60 this Saturday and by watching your videos you mainly change at Ionity, wanted to ask whether you were given RFID by Skoda for you to charge at better price at Ionity?
Great videos , thank you . I bought recently a Enyaq 60 and it’s my first electric car . Definitely I won’t go back to combustion 😂 I have my ŠKODA app but yours look different. Do you have another app ? Thanks
Hi, i nearly got cleaned up on the M6 heading North last week, so now decided on a dash cam, i noticed yours, any tips on preference, hard wired or not, and more importantly, are you happy with it? Thanks
@enyaq_gorm Ah, yes, I've considered the Nextbase 522, which I'll probably go for. Did you hard wire yours? and the position, is it on the panel behind the rear view mirror. Sorry for all the questions. Tks
I noticed you used the Powerpass card on the Ionity charger. We are waiting for ours to arrive in the post, from the video it appeared to work first time, is that always the case?
I've managed around 240 miles but that is dropping off now that the weather is colder. I would say 220 miles for the smaller battery car, slightly better than my old car (tesla model 3)
@@enyaq_gorm I want to know if the range is better than tesla model 3 sr + at a speed of 110kmph for long trips. I am debating if I will buy a Tesla Kia or this one. What trim do you suggest? My priority is actually comfort and range on a single charge maybe 5-90% The Kia is unfortunately limited to 77kw speed.
@@AzizIzgin the range on the iV60 is slightly greater than I had on my Tesla Model 3 SR+. The Tesla would do 200 miles in the Summer, the Enyaq will do 240 miles. The trim is entirely down to taste, I bought the lounge but I actually think the loft which is the basic is really nice. I think the interior is better quality than the Ioniq 5 which looked (to me at least) slightly cheaper. BUt that's really just personal taste, I've not seen the Kia EV6 yet but the Enyaq is much better than the niro which I have seen - 2 friends have those and the Enyaq feels more premium.
@@paulmilsom1346 nice, me and my wife … we think we will also buy this car. What does loft” mean? We live in Sweden and here they have a stupid way of setting the price imo. The iv60 is stripped down totally with base trim level while the 80 has very high trim level so the prices here go from 446k euro to 586 k euro -7k climate bonus reduction. My anxiety now is if I’ll import the iv80 from Germany instead with lower trim level. I’ll get it for 410k in total… I was curious regarding the iv60 In Sweden but apparently also the charging is limited in that one to 85kwh !!! Is it the same were you live regarding the limit of the charging speed? Also what more did you choose? I’d rather buy it in Sweden but the price is clearly much cheaper in Germany. Maybe I am overthinking this too much:(
Hi Jaroslav, there is a calculator on our official website where you can just select your model and choose 80% or 100% battery level and see how fast you can charge it. It will also show you the charging speed if you're using public charging (DC) or home charging (AC). Just click here 👉chargingcalculator.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/?mbv=5AZJJ2&salesgroup=&batterylevel=80
@Jaroslav I didn't time it as on both occasions it was faster than I could eat my food! The enyaq has a much flatter charging curve than the three other EVs I have owned. It's actually still reasonably quick up to around 90% but usually I stop at 80%. But so much depends on the temperature of the battery, how good the charger is etc. But the enyaq is meeting all my expectations so far.
It's a magnetic phone holder that attaches to the back of the enyaq screen. I originally bought it for my Tesla model 3 but kept it when I got the enyaq
I'm not surprised at 16 weeks lead time, as Skoda now have back orders for 75'000 Enyaq's now....... They didn't anticipate the car being quite so well received! I'd Grit my teeth and wait if I were you...... The car easily looks to be worth the wait.
I ordered my Enyaq in June, and I'm still waiting. Apparently it's at the port in Germany, so about 3 to 4 more weeks to wait. It's all down to semi conductor availability for the chips, I was told 12 to16 weeks wait before the semi conductor problem
Personally no I didn't. But now with the choice between a 60 with the old software and the 85 with the new software, battery pre heating etc it's not so clear cut. I don't do so many 600 miles drives now. The most I do is about 200 so for me the 60 is fine. The 85 costs a lot more.
@@podge5555 it's determined by how long you can drive without a break and whether there are chargers where you take breaks. I've had zero issues on Scotland and even driving to England where the infrastructure was poorer I've had no problems
@@enyaq_gorm I’m looking at getting an enyaq, we don’t do many long journeys but would do some, do you get more miles with the heat pump or without please just wanting to know if it’s worth it. Thanks
depends on how harshly you accelerate, temperature etc but I would plan on at least 200 miles or 321 km. Right now with temperatures dropping to below 10 degrees I am seeing 3.5 miles per kWh or 17.75 kWh per 100 km
@@enyaq_gorm hmm I am very surprised regarding your answer here … I had put the enyaq away from my “potential buying list” cause I thought that the iv 60 had too low range and the iv 80 is really too expensive if you add some trim to it. The Kia e niro has an awesome range though and is a good contender if one prioritize range. Is the enyaq larger than the Kia both inside (passenger seats) and the trunk ? Thanks sooo much for your info ! Really appreciate your help! Can it have a towbar on it also? Forgot also to ask around how long does it take to charge around 10-80% if the charger is ok and the battery is in good temperature?
