Thanks for the info about car VED for 2025 I was not aware of it, so there is nothing to gain by going all electric, looks like I will be keeping my Hybrid with its 649 mile range.

Ev drives better, costs less to fill up and much less to service. Plenty to gain. Plus if course you're not pumping out toxic gas causing asthma and worse. Lots to gain.

Not had the screen blacking out (other than the infotainment but that was me being a numpty and forgetting I'd turned it off - however with all those controls on that screen that is not great) but I did get a funny one - the driver's info screen with the speedo woke up blurred and stayed blurred for 60 miles. It did sort itself out at the second start up... hope it's not a sign of things to come after 18 months!

Everything was dark and I could not move the car, just as I was setting off on an 8 hour drive 😭

I changed my Enyaq iv60 in January for the same reason and went for the 85. Don’t forget to renew the road tax before the end of March next year for an extra year at zero road tax.

Car tax, not road tax.

To be precise it’s Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is it not?

I've had a very similar experience to you to be fair my PCP comes to an end in Aug. That said I'm really prepared to hold onto it.

aha, you went for it then! I don't blame you, sound's like you have got a great deal, and the preconditioning is a game changer in my opinion if you are doing lots of trips out, which you clearly do.

Well..... 375 miles Milton Keynes to Edinburgh last week, 15 minutes at Stafford to go to the toilet and buy a coffee (to go not drinking while we charged) and then we had the range to get to Gretna but stopped at Tebay as the food is better. 24 minutes for dinner and toilet and that was enough to get to Edinburgh. Not bad for a 60. Charged fast enough every time that the car was waiting for us not the other way around

@@enyaq_gorm They are very good. We had a similar experience last week on the way to leics from Devon. We can't make it all the way in one go, but only need a top up. We stopped at the Gloucester services and popped it on a supercharger. By the time we had gone to the toilet, bought some sandwiches and a tea, it had gone from 54% to 92%, which I thought was really impressive. It's can only have been 20 ish minutes max. If it had the charging curve of the new 85's it would be outstanding.

Thanks Domhnall for sharing your journeys so freely. Best guidance out there even yet! Looking forward to hearing about the 85...

My Enyaq is coming up to 3 years in December. I’m minded to hang on to it, can you advise the cost of extending your warranty (assuming you didn’t purchase new), and whether it includes roadside assistance? Skoda won’t quote me until a month before the 3 year warranty expires. Look forward to the new car reveal.

Have you got the software updated to ME3.7 on this car before you get rid, or are you leaving that up to the garage/new owners?
@enyaq_gorm
@enyaq_gorm 13 дней назад
It's booked for an update on 20th June.

@@enyaq_gorm Good luck for the new Enyaq. Do you know how much time it takes in the dealer to do the update?

Heatpump doesn't change winter range as much as you think, you'll probably not notice it :) It's in spring & fall the heatpump is at its best :)
@enyaq_gorm
@enyaq_gorm 12 дней назад
When drove the route I took last week I averaged 3.8 m/kWh, when I did it in the 85 with no heat pump it was 2.6 m/kWh

@andersdyreborgjensen4579 12 дней назад
@@enyaq_gorm that is a big difference, the 85 should be more effecient, but its also heavier.

I'm new to Enyaq. Are the software versions in numerical order, ie are you currently on version 3.6 and waiting for 3.7 Only ask as my version is 3.2, yet I did DSL the sales in Skoda to be sure I had latest version before I picked it up, which was only in April 2024
@enyaq_gorm

Mine is on 3.0 it will go direct to 3.7 but yes they're generally in order
