VERY Thoughtful VERY sensible! I agree with you! We can control or modify our behavior, but how do we remain cool when others hurl hurtful lies on us. Words, once they are out of the mouth in the society, never come back. I have practiced the writing/ typing my disturbing thoughts (provoked by someone) technique. It truly helps! It literally feels that the emotion is out of chest and mind, and then i delete it later. It is like a safety valve. We just have to ride that crest, carefully and it gets better, eventually.
