I listened to the full conversation. I can see hope in the world again. You both young men are knowledgeable and rational; that is what we need from young people. I say congrats comrades.
Hi from a new subscriber from the UK! The fact that you are in Taiwan makes your views on the China-Taiwan issues more valid than many so-called China expert! Good to see Jackson too!
Been following the two of you for many years now and I'm proud of y'all for coming so far sharing these ideas that are going to shape the world. I used to think I was the only one who thought this way and that everyone else was just blind so it's incredibly refreshing to see the two of you hit the nail on the head so many times. Even so much of the Asian diaspora in America are so clueless. I'm doing a tour of mainland China soon and hope I can meet either or both of you sometime IRL so I can show my appreciation in person. Anyway, much love from a Chinese-American in California.
Xianyu can you help get Jackson on in Taiwan ? You can put Chinese subtitles or do a translated voice over ..You both would definitely attract the youth in Taiwan who are being targeted to brainwash by the US. The NED and other US propaganda institutions are deeply entrenched in Taiwan. You both together would definitely be a hit with the youth ! Please consider this seriously as the world needs to know the truth to combat the racist neocons in the west !
GREAT IDEA - America ensures Taiwan would would lose its identity teaching kids a fake history like the Japanese many young ppl don’t believe the US nuked them 🤦🏻♀️🧠🕳️we need real education
I bushed into tears at the song at the beginning, The song was so familiar when the school dance with it in HongKong in the 50's You too are the age same as my grandsons. So Happy to see!
During the HK riot they will often chanting, WE should look at the example of Ukraine on how they gain independent from the Soviet Union. now I m connecting the dots.
A word of suggestion if I may, use elementary English for a worldwide non-native English speaking including of course the Chinese audience. For instance the university professors like Jeffrey Sachs or Richard Wolff speak as plainly as possible without slangs and jargons not easy to understand because for years they taught international students. Also limit the vocabulary to middle school level or you can add explanations when necessary.
Good interview. As a non-American outsider looking in, MAGA-communism seems to me like one of the more sane political takes in the insane political landscape that currently is the US. Larouchites also seem to have more normal stances than the average crazies running the US government.
Xiangyu, Just a friendly suggestion, you might want to adjust your computer & camera angle, so is not filming in a awkward angle to the side. Be better if it's direct frontal shot, like Jackson's.
Very interesting. I agree with almost everything Jackson is saying re the current state of our political system. I would like to have him explain what Communism is and what he sees as the final structure of America as a Communist society. I am a libertarian so support free markets and the voluntary and free exchange of products and services amongst the population which is directly responsible for the unprecedented improvement of global living standards.
America began as anti-imperialist with rebellion against the British Empire. The British persisted efforts to recolonize America (war of 1812) and stoked divisions for the US civil war (which otherwise may have been more peacefully resolved). By the early 1900s the British empire modified its strategy with a focused effort to absorb the growing US into its global imperialist system. Arguably, they were successful. By the early 1900s British financiers had inserted a private central banking cartel (Federal Reserve) and lured the US into World War 1. Then WW2, the CIA, and here we are. It would be helpful for the guest to define the terms he uses, as they now have different meanings to each person. What is the meaning of Left? Right? Communist? Capitalist? Progressive? Etc? These words have been overused/ misused for 100+ years and now lack pure common understanding.
Jackson, you're the one talking to the petite-bourgeoisie. The American people are not the peasant class of the days or Marx and that's a ridiculous comparison. You need to understand class analysis, it's not optional if you're going to be a communist. Marxists are not "bourgeois" because they are well-read and come at things from a materialist perspective. If you bring people to your side without understanding what they are supporting, you are lying to them and they cannot be relied on.
Bourgeois culture Marxists like the Euro communists of yesteryear. The culture politics of many well read people are not acceptable to a large part of the population in many regions of the world. There is a disagreement about economic priorities or 'culture fit' as the unifying factor for a relevant mass movement
“You need to understand class analysis”….and just who are you? Do you have a program, papers, position in academe or business? Are you an authority in anyone’s mind, apart from your own?
Ask yourself this question if the USA are happy for China or/and Russia sent soldiers & weapon to Hawaii or Cuba or New Mexico, etc. playing war games in Gulf of Mexico, Alaska or Forida coast Alantic, Hawaii Pacific ocean. A confusion say "Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you.”
Very glad you started this. So much so I was prepared to waste my precious time on this Hinkle fool. But couldn't bear it for long. Can't wait for the next one. The one with Carl was great. Don't make us wait too long and please no more Hinkle types. I think you are brilliant.
My problem with communists who claim they're not leftists is they spend more time cozying up to social conservatives and owning "woke" libs online. I'm also a christian marxist (who's also chinese-american), but I don't believe in biblical literalism and inerrancy. It seems like this LGBT stuff doesn't have much do with marxist-leninist ideology, and everything to do with fundamentalist christian theology. IMO, the people who focus solely on identity politics and those who complain about wokeism are two sides of the same coin. Moreover, the climate skepticism bit is just scientifically illiterate. Okay, you don't want to pander to sexual minorities, but you adopt a conspiratorial minority position on climate science. Trump would say climate change is a 'CCP' plot. More importantly, most american conservatives are also economic liberals, and even if some of them would agree with socialist policies, they are not our allies yet. Yes, we should try to recruit their working class and change their minds, but we shouldn't just adopt their ideas wholeheartedly and uncritically. Claiming Trump is better than Biden (or vice versa) is just another symptom of culture war nonsense because clearly they're both capitalist frauds. I also want to say something about Chinese nationalists who focus on these kinds of issues, as if disliking refugees and gays were part of traditional chinese culture. Even if that were true, which I really don't think it is, it's not actually communism, and we're never going to build international socialism based on this foundation as opposed to orthodox marxist economic critiques and anti-war rhetoric. Try telling a black socialist that racism isn't a problem and see how far that gets us. And let's be honest, many american conservatives hate us for simply being chinese. We can blame the media, and liberals aren't much different, but conservative politicians are the most extreme with their constant anti-communist and anti-china rhetoric. I have more bones to pick with certain kinds of nationalists, but I don't want to be hypocritical and start unrelated arguments.
And what is 'conservatism' to him? From what he says and has said, to him it means the 'nuclear family' social model that really only became the norm post-WW2, and which was only sustainable as long as the US was the uncontested world hegemon - which is why it fell apart in the space of a few decades. People always say that it was 'Cultural Marxism' (or some other idea taken from the far right) that was responsible for its downfall, but really ... initially it was expedited by America's very privileged position in the post-war period. It was only sustainable in that context. That's why it didn't last. It wasn't the 'norm' in any sense, and it certainly wasn't based on much of a historical precedent. And that's another reason why Hinkle just seems like an opportunist: he's so willing to take ideas from the 'far right' (by which I mean, fundamentalist Christianity, Nazism, and so on) in service of his brand. I notice that you're very dismissive of people who call him an opportunist or a grifter, but when one analyses what he actually says and does, it's really hard to escape that conclusion. It's a legitimate conclusion to come to about him.
Gorillas together strong. All jks aside great episode, great idea, great stuff. We need more Chinese education in the West. Little critique Jackson needs to hit the theory books a bit more and in contrast Xiangyu please be more real specifically in interviews (when there are theory videos obviously you can talk more in depth).
Communism is both political and economic. Capitalism is an important and progressive stage in human development. China and Russia had revolutions when they were largely feudal countries, it’s not a contradiction to use capitalism for development, the difference is that it’s under the political umbrella of a communist party, not an oligarchy singularly focused on profit Uber alles
What if the game is for central bamkers to lower all standards ro continue the control of all labor and individual autonomy for the return to fueldlism.
Karl Marx wrote Abraham Lincoln a testimony of congratulations on emancipation of black natives. Marx outlined the atrocities of oligarchy and he offered strategies to combat wage slavery. Marx is the patron saint of the labor movement in America . No doubt all movements and corporations can be infiltrated or eventually purchased. We all live on Roman tax farms. Notions of sovereignty are largely specious. All combatants are members of the IMF and World Bank. The debtors are not the masters. I say our empathy is the source of our wisdom. Socialism is a matter of fact. We have schools and hospitals and militaries and businesses all dependent on government largess and laws which are necessary to govern our commerce and behavior. There is no such thing as freedom in the public sphere nor should there be. Freedom emboldens liars and criminals and pornographers and bullies. Let us promote fairdom as the more rational approach. Fair trade is superior to free trade for the same reasons. Communisms goal is to establish a central government which supports local needs. The corporate governance model is more and more centralizing capital and resources into fewer and fewer hands. To some extent the earth and sky is all our commons.
I have a simple criteria for the best form of government. The best form of government is one that serves its people. America is failing on these issues : 1. Our homelessness is in thousands scattered in practically every big cities in America. 2. 65% of Americans go to sleep hungry to pay for rents. 3. Most Americans live from paycheck to paycheck. 4. Our card debts is almost $1 Trillion dollars. 5. Our country debts and unfunded liabilities is now $250 trillion 6. Our higher educations is only available for the rich families. 7. Our infrastructure are collapsing.
Hope these two checkbout the research the Prof. At Villanova University in Pa. GABRIEL ROCKHILL. HE has researched all the financial backing of various dissonance thinkinkers previous to the current erra.
How can he describe anything in America as 'radical leftism' on one hand, and on the other hand say, 'Well, they're not leftists, they're radical liberals' (which is something I generally agree with)? He can't even be consistent about his diagnosis of American society!
Great interview other than Jackson calling "LGBT" sexual perverted degeneracy. I also don't think China would be investing so much into climate-friendly development if there wasn't some sort of ecological crisis happening.
That's because the culture pushed by the alphabet soup lobbyist-representatives IS degenerate. Go to any so-called "pride" and count the publically nak ed people partaking in it. Count the amount of men forcing themselves into women's spaces and then harassing women WITH the support of law enforcement because they wore a wig and "declared" themselves TW. Even the normal behaving members of the alphabet soup no longer want to have anything to do with the community because of the culture pushed by the lobbyist-representatives.
@@lain2006gits No, at 1:25:03 he says "one in four people from 15-18 say they're of that sort of sexual perverted degeneracy," he's not talking about the corporate promoted culture there, he's talking about the people. For what it's worth I'm also a Christian, my religious beliefs don't necessitate believing or saying things like that.
Seeing Jackson on RU-vid again makes it seem like the USA is back to normal which couldn't be farther from the truth. David Baumblatt would make a great guest 1 day
And another thing! If he is a Marxist, a communist, why should his personal religious beliefs have such an effect on his political and social ideology (such as it is)? Even in the case of the liberation theologists of Latin/South America, many of whom were actual Catholic priests, their religion only had an influence in terms of serving the material needs of the people. A Marxist, a communist, does not shoehorn one's own religious/spiritual beliefs into their political and social ideology, make them a key element of their ideology. It's another gross inconsistency in his 'ideology' that really just makes him seem like an insincere opportunist looking to outrage both shitlibs and 'conservatives in the US so he can claim to be oppressed, silenced, blah blah blah - which is an incredibly common marketing tactic among online grifters of all types.
