Yeah I have a couple of these Sony DVD / CD players kicking around. I specifically bought them to match up with vintage silver-faced receivers. And unfortunately yes, they won't play cd-r's (which sucks). I'd love to find a unit that would play mp3 cd-r's or even SACD's.
Yup. The good thing for me is at least now I can still keep my old CDR’s on a spindle packed away somewhere instead of spending money on cases for them, and time making sleeves and labels for the cases, haha

If it weren't silver, it'd go great with my system. Being all Sony & what not. 😅 I'd totally use that! 💯 I like my Pioneer though, it's what's in my car too. I went to my local comic book store to see if they had your Turtle cover comic but they don't carry Turtle comics. 😔
