Jyotiraditya Scindia is a third generation politician currently serving as Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel in PM Modi’s cabinet since 2021. He is a member of the upper house of parliament from his home state of Madhya Pradesh and has also represented Guna parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha for more than 17 years. Scindia is an economics graduate from Harvard University and has an MBA from Stanford University. Prior to entering politics, Jyotiraditya also worked with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch as an investment banker. He is also a cricket enthusiast and has served as president of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. In this edition of ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Scindia talks about how he joined mainstream politics after the sudden demise of his father Madhav Rao Scindia in 2002. He also recollects his memories of his grandmother Vijaya Raje Scindia, who was one of the founding members of Jan Sangh. He also talks about his relationship with the Gandhi family and reveals reasons why he left Congress to join the BJP. Scindia also talks about the INDIA alliance and terms it as a group of political entities who want to serve their own interests instead of serving the people. He also talked about initiatives taken by the civil aviation ministry and exuded confidence that the BJP will win the upcoming state elections in Madhya Pradesh.

The way described his own history starting from his ancestral village in Satara district of Maharashtra to the time of his great great great great grandfather Mahadashi Shinde, is incredible. He knows his roost and from where exactly he is coming from and his choice of doing Janseva for the people is in his blood. He is Gaddar. His ancestral were with British in 1857 which hurted cause of Indian freedom fighters that time. In 2020 his gaddari causes loss of Congress govt. Since then Muslims of MP are at the receiving end of tyranny of bulldozer Mama.

We had the oppurtinity of meeting Rajamatha Vijayaraje schindya in 1976 during emergency in karnataka. She was so simple, humble and down to earth. We students sat around her and chatted with her like old friends.The few hours we spent with her can never be erased from our hearts.I sang a Tyagaraja keertan and she said I should never give up singing.❤Jyotiraditya is her grand son .🙏

I studied from The Scindia School, one of the premium boarding schools of India. I'm proud to have him as His Highness(which we will always call him). Met him many times and he's an absloutely fun person to be around. He has an abundant knowledge and love for the sports is insourmantable. I'm being a National Swimmer of India when I met him, he was elated to represent India and Scindia at national level and gave me a fantastic tip to my sports - "stay focus like the way you're now. You will bring laurels". He will always be my My Highness.

My father w has known and worked with madhavrav ji and his death was a shock for all of us. I still remember his face when he heard that news. I am so happy that Jyotiraditya chose to leave congress. Congress doesn't let a true leader grow unless they have the blessings of gandi parivaar. There was a time that I looked up these young leaders ( Sachin pilot, jitendra Prasad) as future but then suddenly these leaders were out of picture Wishing him all the best.

I must say that JS is one of d jwelles in PM's cabinet. He has brought the truth ( past n present) to light. Very honest n bold personality. I as a banker worked at Shamshabad a village in Vidisha dist. MP from July 1994 to June 1997 n experienced d trouble of electricity supply road ....... I have done Ma Narmada Parikrama by walk from Nov.2021 to March 2022 n seen d development in many sectors in MP as l walked all the parikrama. What a lovely interview with this one man Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia that I wished to hear from (after he finally left the Congress party and joined BJP and Mr. Mody), and must say he has tremendous talent, charisma and looks of his dad and thought what on earth was he wasting time with the most senseless people of the Congress party for so many years.I was impressed by the way he spoke and his knowledge about the dept and work he is doing as an Aviation minister. There lies the difference. Academic degrees have only that much in grooming a person’s demeanour and character. It depends a lot on one’s parents and family and the environment they provided during one’s growing up years. And there lies the difference. Many people with degrees just bark, lie and indulge in immoral activities without batting an eyelid. Few others are the likes of examples you see here.

People saying Scindia being a dynast, I disagree. He is highly educated, cleared harvard education, worked as an Investment banker, built his own startup and won the elections on his own. Now, he is running a central ministry and fighting for CM portfolio! He is a meritocratic leader who grew through the ranks and not someone like MK Stalin or Rahul Gandhi who was just given the political crown without going through the trial of Fire!

All my life I saw him sitting next to Rahul Gandhi in the parliament. Other than that, I knew absolutely nothing about him.
