Age gap like her parents (check) She provides basic care for Bobby like her mom did for her older dad (check) The man has the money in the relationship, like her dad did (check) Both were verbally & physically abused by parents, & are verbally abusive with each other (check) Both were victims of sexual abuse growing up (check) There’s a lot of reasons it works. Whoever checks more ‘familiar’ boxes (good & bad stuff) than anyone else will be the person you feel most in love with….even if it seems like a wacky relationship to outsiders.

@@Darakkis you figure it out over your lifetime…both by observing other people as well as yourself & your own choices. Unfortunately you usually don’t understand these things until you’re past the age that people typically get married & start a family. Another big one is people having a tendency to get stuck mentally at the age where they first experience a major life trauma. Hence Bobby waking up at 2PM & playing video games all day & night like a 13 year old, when he’s in his 40s.

So many young or emotionally stunted members of the fandom only see kalyla bagging on bob and dont see how or why their relationship works. Its why my relationship works cuz my girl's as f-ed up as i am.

I lovve this episode of the podcast. I went out on a date with a doctor (not a physician), just someone with a doctorate in medical technology, and he told me it wasn’t my fault after hearing my story. It’s been 5 years since that date, and I’m finally starting to accept that it IS NOT my fault whatever happened in my childhood, and feel free from guilt, shame and self-doubt that was put on me.

MY mother 100% had Borderline. And she's right they should not diagnose teens. I was diagnosed at 15. And when I disowned her and went out on my own I was completely fine. Also it was funny I tried to forgive her a few times and those where the most emotional times in my life. Now she is sitting in prison for the 30th time and I havent written or mailed that bitch the entire year and a half she has been there. I have NEVER BEEN BETTER

I triggered one of them, "she said I'm lucky to even have a mom" That made me feel awful.But to me she was already dead.. even farther gone than dead. At least a dead mom cant still Fuck up your life. My other friends parents brought me in as a teen, when they barely knew me. I was a damaged teen street rat. I am very grateful for that family and THEY are my parents now. I still see them all the time. I'm 36 Oh,And one time a nurse yelled at me for yelling at my mom to kick her out my room during the birth of my first child when I specifically told her not to come, I just told the nurse she didnt know my mom and requested a new nurse. Some people really dont understand. And god bless them for that... But alot people do too. And that makes me feel ALOT better about my decision. It is not one to take lightly. But sometimes you have to be selfish to be unselfish to your own kids or close loved ones

She’s took a dna test (23&me) and said she is mostly Filipino and French-European. The Spanish conquered and ruled the Philippines taking native Filipino wives and having mixed European-Spanish and native Filipino children. So lots and maybe even most Filipinos today have various percentages of Euro-Spanish blood which is also why most have Spanish last names. So technically Khalyla is part Latino.

My family's been putting eggs and green onion in ramen for years. I love how christina tries to act so cool with her hacks but calls everyone else's trash.
