Michael Coleman here, back with another episode of The Coleman Nation Show. Today, I'm diving into a topic that stirs up a lot of debate: economic ideologies; yes, that's right, this episode is all about socialism, communism, and capitalism. I'll be breaking down my take on what's fundamentally right and wrong with each of these systems and discussing how we might make them work more effectively.
In this episode, I share a personal story that sparked my thinking on these ideologies-stemming from a simple discussion about Bob’s Red Mill, an employee-owned company.
We'll explore how these systems impact our society and discuss the principles of capitalism that I believe have fostered innovation and opportunity globally. I’ll also touch on why I think socialism and communism (or any ideology, for that matter), as they are typically implemented, might not deliver on their promises with the lack of a moral foundation.
The goal today isn't just to critique but to look at how integrating morality into these systems could potentially resolve many of their flaws. This isn't just about economics; it's about how we, as a society, choose to embody the Golden Rule in our systems and interactions.
Join me as we delve into these complex topics and consider what it would take for each system to truly benefit society. Your thoughts and opinions are invaluable, so don’t hesitate to leave a comment below.
And, if you find our discussion enlightening, make sure to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more content where we tackle the big questions facing our world today.

Wow! 😮 Someone thinking that an employee-owned company equals socialism is uneducated or educated incorrectly. From what I have experienced, though, the last three generations in the US have been educated in public schools to believe that socialism equates to ensuring everybody is taken care of and there is no subjective reality on the subject at all. People who are born into socialist societies/governments often flee to the US to afford a decent living. I completely agree with your perspectives! And by the way, I buy Bob’s Red Mill product not only because they are great, but it means a lot to support the people who make the products! (It is lovely to find out that Publix is also an employee owned company, wow! Yes, they are so friendly and clean, and have good organic options.) I’ve worked for extremely generous people, not always with their employees (which was surprising), philanthropic people. I’ve worked for larger and medium corporations too. I’ve also worked with small businesses and the differences are pretty wide. I completely agree with employing the golden rule in every business - the treatment of one another, of customers/clients/patients, of the environment, and beyond, is critical to having a clean, productive, workable, sustainable society at large. This was a great episode and I look forward to watching/listening to the rest! Keep them comin!! 👏

Hey, If Americans and other people's like in Poland and Hungary (Places where Communism REALLY F----- them over) what to support improved systems of democracy like Cooperatives (Economic Democracy) like Socialists and Communists do, Then keep supporting these more democratic and more morally correct systems without calling them Socialists and Communist. Everyone is Happy. Everyone wins. Long Live America!

This is a interesting topic, but you don't give us much to go off. You read the works of Marx and say you disagree with it. But in what way? What does it say you disagree with? The hole thing? Seems unlikely since you don't seem to have anything against workers sharing ownership, so there must be things you disagree with more that others. So what are those parts? Also don't leave us with fill in the blanks. Like when you say "as we see today" give fucking exsampels and don't leave it to people to fill in the blank themselves with whatever fits their beliefs. It gives a feeling you don't really want to comment on the issues and are just throwing around buzzwords. You are presenting really well on camera and are covering some really cool topics. Would really love to just see a little more meat on the bone.

Sorry but your simplistic comparison doesn't work. The climate breakdown will not be corrected by your ignorance of doughnut economics, MMT, and the other economic models that offer a better future for our children.
