I knew a kid in high school that would go to the Walmart parking lot, pick up cigarette butts off the ground. He would then remove the left over tobacco into a can and use that as the fill for his hand rolled cigarettes. Unfiltered, not that it really makes much of a difference.

There's a reason her dad was her legal guardian for so many years, and it ain't The Patriarchy. She's a very mentally ill woman who can't take care of herself alone. Judges don't just assign guardianship of an adult to another adult unless there's something seriously wrong. I've worked in mental health a long time and I've never met someone with a guardian I didn't think needed one. These people end up homeless, drug addicted, prostituting themselves, starving on the streets if they don't have someone assigned to watch over them.

I think it has to do with the fact that around age 50 hormones and digestive enzymes change, causing your actual tolerance to alcohol to decrease. At his age you will also lose the ability to perceive just how intoxicated you are. So he is drinking the same way he always has, but is experiencing an exaggerated effect.

One is ordered upon seating, another ordered between apps and dinner and a third paired with desert. @@robertpetrie6999 Never know. I've known some alcoholics who drank from sun up to sun down and died of other causes in their 70s/80s. Yeah they may be outliers, but Bert may get (extremely) lucky. I also wonder how much of this is greatly exaggerated in the way Dean Martin's schtick was always being drunk during his shows, but he actually didn't drink at all. Obviously Bert drinks anytime his brand is being shown to the public, but I wouldn't be too shocked if most of his stories are largely made up/exaggerated.

Love this ep! But the sound levels keep fluctuating, and I found myself lowering or raising the volume throughout the whole episode. I'm sure it's hard as fuck tho when Tom speaks at a lower tone while Bert either makes siren noises, talks low or slightly yells in every sentence
