In this episode, we dive deep into some season prep, bows, arrows, and gear reviews, then go into a bunch of hunting stories that I think you're going to like. Starting with...
A Crazy Beaver Story: First up, we've got a funny story about a beaver. Yes, you heard that right. It's not every day you have a run-in with a beaver while hunting, but let me tell you, it can make for a pretty memorable day. This story is a reminder that when you're out in the woods, expect the unexpected.

All About My Bow: Next, I'm diving into my experience with the Matthews lift bow. I took a trip to Lancaster Archery and learned a lot about setting up my bow just right. I'll share how I got my bow to feel perfect for me and why paying attention to your arrows is super important. It's all about making sure your gear works the best it can for you.
When Things Don't Go As Planned: Hunting is full of surprises, and not all of them are the kind you hope for. Dan and I will share some of our own oops moments, like forgetting important gear or making a mistake with our setup. It's all part of hunting, and the key is to learn from it and keep going.
Getting Ready for Turkey Season: With turkey season just around the corner, we're talking about how we're getting ready, especially trying to get a turkey with a bow. It's a tough challenge, but we're excited to give it a shot. We'll share our plans and tips for hunting turkey with a bow.
This episode is packed with stories, tips, and a bit of laughter. It's all about sharing what we love about bowhunting and learning together. So, whether you're tuning your bow, planning your next hunt, or just love hearing about the outdoors, you're in the right place.

I want a turkey with a bow so bad too! I did shoot a hen in the fall a couple years ago by happenstance. I really was going to try this year. However, I have a course out in Iowa from 12-22 May. So, I don't know. I did self film my turkey hunt two years ago and filmed my daughter's hunt last year. Maybe I will try. Who knows. My wife goes every year with a bow, and last year was her first year to draw on one. I'd like to help her out, too. I have WOCS starting on Friday. Lots going on this year! Good luck guys!!

I use the HMR. Hands down the strongest arrow I have used. Great price point. I bought them from the previous owner, Vector, I believe. I went with the four fletch. I shoot the Tooth of the Arrow 125 grain solid XLs. 28.5" draw length 67# draw weight. Shot nice 8 point through onside scapula, top of the heart, out the sweet spot offside, and 6" in the dirt. Buck fell stone dead exactly 30 yards. Love the setup!

2 years ago that was my exact setup. 605 grain HMRs, Same TOTA Broadheads, etc. Great setup, but just slightly heavy for me. They made great arrows. Sorry to see them go. They make great arrows.

What are each of your top three favorite memories from hunting? Mine are: 1) My daughter's first turkey. 2) My first deer. 3) Turkey double with Dad and daughter with us.
