I smiled when you put your names and date on the wheelhouse and talked about the people who would see it 40 years later. The house I live in was remodeled by a young man who bought it as a fixer upper. He totally redid the kitchen. I found his name and date when doing some repairs in my kitchen. On the 40th anniversary of his buying the house, he contacted me and ask if he could have a tour through it. I still have the kitchen he built. He explained he was 21 and single when he designed the kitchen, to which I laughed and replied, " That explains a lot!!" It definitely was not designed by a housewife, but I love it anyway. Hopefully Sarinda will be a part of your family for many years to come!

You are doing a fabulous job, rolling along to make Sarinda watertight. I know there's still loads to do, but in a strong, watertight hull and deck you will be able work without always thinking about sheeting down before the end of the day. That wheelhouse went well, but it's not lucky - you thought about it and now you know what you're doing. Very impressive.

@taffythegreat1986

The trouble with plan (A) is, you have the weight of the wheelhouse pressing down onto the deck at the points where those noggins are. If you lay down a 6" x 2" timber flat and shape in the curve. The original uprights of the wheelhouse can then rest onto the 6" x 2" timber, hence spreading the load. Love watching you both work 😂👍👍

@@dfanta123crist5 it’s not the question of looking good. Although the job does look good and you’re doing great, I love it.👍👍. It’s about spreading the weight of the wheelhouse onto the 6"x2" timber, rather than the ply decking itself. Maybe you can see it differently to where we see it. 👍👍

What about using house deck metal attachments that allow you to have many attachment points to both the uprights and the deck. On a house when building a deck.
