Deep down inside black people collectively understand what you've said but due to certain factors (chiefly the fear complex which is the legacy of slavery as a form of social control) it is to remain dormant and its dormancy strengthened by the self-defeatist psychosis of those who have been projected onto black people as leaders. Some have resorted to such purposely because it serves their cliquish interests which revolve around access to material opulence. It safeguards their niche within society, siphoned off from the rest who wallow in abject poverty apart from the blue collar segment in the middle. There's an ole saying: why cut off the hand that's feeding you, instead of: why not cut off the hand that's harming us. The key word is the singular you and not plural us. Dig it!
Dr Horne is a magnificent historian. He is a walking, talking encyclopedia. I wish I could take a class with him. Thank you for sharing this interview with him.

The problem and rather historically has been a whole lot of black intellectuals who have emerged among US but have failed on purpose for a purpose to embrace the revolutionary approach to abolishing the political and socioeconomic ills that plague US. All they have pretty-much committed themselves to is writing books and giving speeches, going no farther than resorting to critical condemnations of the system (and rightfully so) of things which has earned some the title of radical only to increase their wallets and pocket books. It is quite the hustle while OUR conditions remain the same collectively. In other words, what they've been doing historically can be summed up as intellectual masturbation. They want rain without thunder. They want to reap the crops without getting their hands dirty. They expect the non-intellectuals of US to inculcate the information they disseminate and be the ones to carry out the work on the battlefield while they stand on the sidelines and watch. Those days must come to an end. And they most definitely will so says the laws of nature because ameriKKKa is sitting on a powder keg. And all the posturing in the world won't protect them. History has clearly demonstrated time and again that revolutionary ideology and practice has been the most viable of all the solutions to the madness that subjected people have had to bare. And it requires sacrifices (even if losing one's life in the process) from which the black intellectuals have refrained. WE can no longer stick OUR heads in the sand in the face of truth. It comprises with none of US. FACTS!

Yes, however clear to us that metaphor is, it is muddy to someone who doubts critical race theory as they will say the dr doesn't need to hear about your smoking bc he already has the diagnosis. Dr. Horne in another interview reminds us that it is the mode of treatment of the lung cancer that is dependent on knowlege of the patient's history. --> Full comprehension of history is imperative to creating a good future for all.

The Science channel did a show about slavery in America in the last two to three weeks ago, and NOT ONCE did they say 'black people'. They called us, ""America's enslaved people" If it wasn't for the pictures of black people working in the fields you would think they were talking about some unheard of race that America also enslaved! Would it kill them to say 'black'? Apparently so.

Slavery had nothing to do with the American Revolution which was a progressive revolution that championed freedom and the abolition of slavery while Great Britain profited greatly from the slave trade and actually supported the south in the American Civil War!
