The ring test was awesome. Gary is so freaking great! The man is legendary!!! This is such great tremolo gear geek content. Love it!

I didn't realize how much I wanted a Kahler trem until watching this video. Great job, guys!

Thanks for showing my comment! As a Kahler player, I'm surprised at how much I don't know about Kahler. Also, I'm working with Gary and the team to make a custom bass tremolo; 10/10 customer service! I'm stoked to learn more.

It was a good comment so thank you for that. And yes, our customer service is the best reason to play a Kahler. We aren’t cheap but when things go wrong we got your back.

Mike Cole here, Eddie and Gary keep it up! Thanks again for the recent purchase of 2300 and 2700 trems, can't wait to use them. Be prepared this is gonna be long so get a drink and comfortable chair. A lot of chatter about price/cost/licensing/advertising, etc. I don't claim to be an authority on guitars, parts, and gear, however I've been playing for 30+ years, 20+ performing from dive bars, larger club venues, company parties, weddings, festivals, but never toured, so that might not qualify as a pro or career musician since being a musician is not my main source of income BUT I can attest to quality and what works and lasts and what doesn't last. I love guitars and gear and I have certain styles and brands I favor, but none of them are really name brand and I'm not a fan boy. (Stay with me I will get to my point I promise) Over the years going on several forums hearing name brand fanboys just regurgitating the same uninformed crap they heard that sounded expert or good and just says that crap and has tarnished certain brands like Kahler and some others and put on a pedestal brands like Gibson/Epiphone, Fender/Squier, Ibanez, PRS, Dean, Orange, Marshall, Wilkinson, Gotoh, and Floyd Rose as the flagships in the music instrument/hardware industry superior quality. This might have been true once long ago before these brands started making decisions solely on greater profits sacrificing quality and allowing licensing of their products overseas. Watch this video and it explains more from Phillip McKnight ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cqV-hJeRIBc.html which McKnight knows his shit. A person spends extra dough on a MIA Fender or a MIM Fender are you really getting what you are paying for? Squier is a subsidiary brand thats made in China, India, Philippines, etc. Gibson same thing. Epiphones are made in China. Where I'm going with this all is your guitar may have been assembled in the states, but with Chinese parts or where ever or USA parts assembled overseas to lower costs so craftsmanship goes down either way. With new tech yes you can get decent guitars and equipment, Kiesel guitars AKA Carvin are all made/assembled in California and you can pick every part thus you know what you are getting sure you will pay more but you know its qaulity. This is just one of many smaller brands that are quality. With Kahler USA and true Kahler you know what you are getting and you can feel the quality just using it. Now I also love my guitars with floyds on them, however some of the floyds on my guitars have better parts such as the fine tuners on some are harder to turn or saddles don't move as easy to intonate or the locking nut has issues. And restringing balance the bridge can be a pain whereas the cam system is easier to install, use, maintain, and restring. I hope something on this channel goes viral in the music/guitar community and it educates many fanboys.

Albert Power here. The speed metal freak from the west coast. Excited to hear more about the history! Awesome job on the channel!!! One thing I will bring up as you mentioned shipping. I'll preface... Scored a great deal on a stud mount Kahler that I have successfully installed on my 96 Gibson V. To get it playable I needed parts. I first looked at the official Kahler site for parts and it was quite hard to navigate for the little bips and bops I needed. I eventually found them and the shipping was quite expensive(living in Canada it is what it is, I now just ship to my PO box and buy cheap gas and pay day candy bars as I pop over the boarder) Now whammy world or whammy parts had a much easier site to navigate, and they had cheaper shipping(parts cost was the same) Unfortunately it took almost 3 weeks for my order to ship. And 2 weeks to come up to Canada... You can't control USPS or Canada Post but 3 weeks was not worth the 10$ savings. I wish I would have just stuck with you guys and my parts right away! While I waited I was in conversation with your sales manager Harley. And man I wish I would have just emailed you guys from the go. Very professional and helpful. You have great people at Kahler!!! I ended up buying the proper template (whammy parts only had the screw mount template and not the stud) and it took maybe a 4 days to get to my PO box. End of my rant. I think it would be wise to have a spot right away on the site to simply email what part you need, rather than navigate the site. ALSO!!! for some of us DIY guys... It's not terribly hard to make a template for kahlers... I basically destroyed the cardboard screw mount template and used the stud mount to check my placement. But it's a little tricky from the cardboard ones... Any chance of making some nice acrylic ones? I'd love to be able to route kahlers for my future builds and if any of my friends or whatnot need one done. Hope that wasn't too long of a thing. Also make some Kahler trucker hats please :)

Hey Gary, your insight is priceless and what we need more of. Little quality vs price point goes a long way considering what other systems cost. I’d rather give it to you! Nice keep it going!

Ok I’m Marc DeLeon from Bakersfield Ca I’m from the band the Mentors and was the guitar player for Adema. I absolutely love Kahler trems. I’ve ordered the straight from Kahler a few times and it only took a few days to get them. It’s like opening up a jewelry box. Absolutely beautiful work. I’ve noticed when people say they do not like Kahler, they only experience with Kahler is from the Gibson branded version or the versions that were on the lower end type guitars like the Aria Pros 2 from the 80s and other low end imports. Those tremolos are very different from the Kahler Pro’s that came on my 1984 USA Charvel’s and the trems I order direct from Kahler now. I personally love finding older gibsons that have the Kahler style trems. But the first thing I do is buy a new or used Kahler branded tremolo and put the Gibson branded version in a box somewhere. Then you have the real Kahler experience. Thank you for your quality products and your wonderful customer service. Marc D.

Gary and Eddie, another great installment! Can you guys talk about the old style 2520 and Spyder slotted fulcrum vs. the Steeler/Floyd style fulcrums, differences, benefits of one vs another etc? Thanks!

Thanks for featuring my comment from the last episode! A couple of things I've noticed from using my Kahler Tremolo bridge on my Jeff Hanneman guitar. 1. Was there/is there any effort to redesign the string hooks so that they can be locked down so the string doesn't snap out while tuning? 2. The placement of the saddle unlock and string action screws requires the string to be moved out of the way to use them. Have y'all thought about moving them next to the string like that Babicz fixed bridge does it?

I own idk how many guitars now. Almost all are either Kahler or fr equipped, and I can not fathom how I've never owned a Steeler. I have a couple spyders, and a couple 2710 Killers. Never once owned a Steeler. I need to change that

Might I (Eddie) suggest my favorite bridge ever, the Steeler Pro with the Auto-Latch. Modifications must be made but it’s so worth it. kahlerusa.com/product/2700-series-fulcrum-tremolo-system/

@@KahlerUSATrems thank you Eddie! I will DEFINITELY try one soon. I've been in the habit of trying to buy 80s machines with Kahlers as much as possible for the last 20 years or so lol

If or when for left handed Steeler pros?
@timstromberg8754

I'm going to rout a top recess into my newer LTD m-1 that currently has a top mounted Floyd. I put my new steeler pro with an auto latch into my other M-1000 with a recess for a test fit and noticed two things. One, the steeler appears to hug the left side of the rout to the point it seems like it might not have enough room and interfere. And two, it looks like I need to add extra room in the through rout since the auto latch will sit where the Floyd had empty space below where the bar goes. I planned on using a regular Floyd rout template to do the recess. Any tips or guidance on making this routine would be greatly appreciated.
