Great design, superb quality built, a very sturdy catamaran, it can only be a very successful endeavor. There will be many Odysea cats sailing around the world, buying one is a no brainer. Only quality people!!!!!

As I'm pondering the Elcano challenge, and thinking about the design of this catamaran, which is awesome, and being a battery lifestyle guy, I can't help thinking. I'm sure now that I am a Wharram guy. I've pondered it all and I'm pretty sure I'm getting a Tiki 26 at some point. I like watching Mark at Wildings Sailing, so it's nice to have all the design pondering which comes with all this sailing stuff. So, I'm watching this catamaran get built, which is hella fun, and it seems that it would be pretty ez to build some Wharram style hulls out of aluminum. No English wheel, super ez bulkheads, it seems doable. And I wonder about building a Wharram hull with a 48v, regenerating electric motor built into each hull, with a super giant 48v battery as ballast for each hull. It just seems to me that using aluminum would be called for for all that stuff. It just seems like a low tech way of approaching it, so it contrasts with the millionaire style catamaran you guys are building, which is the market to be in. It's just interesting to me and I wonder if the genius designer dudes there would ponder it cuz that would be a interesting episode, to me at least. I'm looking at that crew you have there and thinking they could just knock one out no problem.

I think mark’s indo cat looks sketchy, he cut off patches of rot n replaced it, then glued n laminated it….my thing is that wooden planel boat will flex n start to loosen the three beams holding the hulls n the wooden hull too will also flex n start to delaminate….. Andy from melody offered him (steel) melody at a good price n said he would finish the remaining construction n have it in the water on his cost…..

Hopefully there is no twist between hulls , remember , Alu is highly fatigue prone.

What color will she be contest ? Red , yellow, pink or blue, lets come together and see... I think the finished coat is one of the hardest decisions for most boats. Battleship gray or rat-rod clear coat...

62' catamaran is almost perfect size. You get to load more things on it since the waterline is longer without sacrificing performance. Glass windows can also be installed so in 10 years its 1 less thing to replace like you would with plex glass. More batteries and more solar.

The boat is really coming together!!!! Nice to see all the progress can't wait to see it in the water for sea trials!!! And I gotta agree with you Ray Marine (formerly Ratheon) is a GREAT choice I have 3 Axiom Pro 12's on my boat and absolutely love them! Never had an issue. I feel Like when Navico bought up B&G, Simrad, and Lowrance all 3 went down the toilet. That said my next choice would be Furuno and honestly them and Ray Marine In my humble opinion are pretty close to equals in quality and reliability! The one plus to Furuno is they don't use a proprietary network system's like all the others do they use industry wide standard NMEA communications and cables easily sourced around the globe!

Plukky, In the MOVIE; "MASTER AND COMMANDER", Russell Crowe played "Captain "Jack' AUBREY" who knew EVERYTHING about HIS SHIP the "HMS SURPRISE" because he was present at the laying of the "keel" to the completion! I don't believe he was advertising other "builds" for the shipyard⁉ TOP STUFF PLUKKY
