Most Powerful men are trashy. Washington owned 100s of slaves, Thomas Jefferson raped slaves and made one have several children, Andrew Jackson married an already married woman-Bigamist which is criminal behavior.
Wasn't discussed in England, just read the book on Marylin Monroe's death, it was mentioned in there, that's how I found out. Most people don't know here. Unfortunately a lot of powerful men were as bad as MLK, the Kennedy brothers scraped the depth of many gutters.
If the FBI overheard a rape & didn't intervene, they are just as guilty imo. If this story were true, wouldn't we have heard it by now? Wouldn't the FBI have already charged an alleged rapist with a crime?
Think about back then that shit was like more accepted as fucked up as it is and it wasn’t really like fbi buisness you know so I do feel like mlk was a rapist and a piece of shit I do t know if he should be forgotten but like that’s the worst kind of man imo
The first time I met my future husband, he was "working" for King. Considering the "work" he was doing for King, I found it peculiar that they also had him and some of his chums babysit their kids. The most celebrated of the King people are also the least deserving. A few of King's closest associates really did believe in the espoused ideals and tried to live accordingly. This was absolutely not true for King and most of his associates. I was astounded when King began to be "deified," there have been few people less appropriate to hold up as a hero. The ideals associated with King's legacy may not have been anything he truly believed in, and he certainly did not live accordingly, but the ideals themselves are still worthy of consideration. Please people, never deify or make a hero of anyone. Not anyone. The ideas and ideals presented are always more important--and less disappointing--than the humans that seem to be associated with them. No heroes, just thought. Please.
Great men do horrible things often. Thomas Jefferson raped slaves and made one have his babies. George Washington owned 100s of slaves and beat them. FDR ordered the internment of Japanese knowing they were not anymore a threat than German citizens yet he targeted only the Japanese.
Robert E. Lee was against slavery; when he inherited slaves (because they were considered property), he immediately freed them. Because he was such a great guy, many no doubt stayed on as hired hands, but he should not be included in your list of racists.
I’ve heard that about many slave owners. They would keep them as workers versus kicking them off their newly acquired property. Technically slave owners, but nonetheless good men. No good deed goes unpunished.
Jefferson was also against slavery, when he died he freed them all, even tried to get their relatives freed. Small gesture from todays perspective, huge bqck then I think.
This is not new to me. 40 years ago my Dad told me about this when heard it from a friend of his who was a FBI agent. MY dad told me MLK was being watched carefully and was a person of interest for charges of criminal sexual misconduct. Rather than MLK acquiring such women on his own they were 'provided' by those around MLK which would show up at his hotel. My dad told me he could not make up his mind if the FBI was out to frame MLK because he was seen as a troublemaker but he did not doubt his friend was telling him the truth that MLK was a bed hopper. My dad told me even if MLK was a bed hopper he was a great man and a good man though like most of us, flawed in many ways. Many years later my dad asked this friend of his if the FBI had been responsable for the death of MLK and his answer was 'no'.
I appreciate your commenting. I still believe that MLK Jr. was intelligent enough to know he was being spied on. The least little thing could end the movement; beating/raping is a gigantic thing that could destroy a minister/leader especially if they stand for nonviolence. Too where are these woman/corroborating evidence. I put nothing passed our govt. Friendship doesn't always override having signed a 'keep your mouth shut' contract. A legacy of Respect can be corroded by lies/rumors until all one sees are the lies/rumors. Bed hopping is a situation between him, his wife & the God he serves. Beating & raping is a criminal act; no way they wouldn't use this if it was true to stop the NONVIOLENT PEACE MARCHER.
If they had actual evidence he was a "bed hopper," they would have brought that out YEARS ago while he was alive to discredit him. So no evidence or proof, no valid claims. Simple as that. People are just making stuff up and have NO objective evidence to prove a thing.
It's interesting that FBI agents, upon realizing that a felony was bring committed, did not immediately knock down the door and arrest the perpetrators ... Honestly, none of you are bothered by this?!
Powerful men do disgusting things. Yet, MLK was willing to fight for the rights of all citizens. When a man is under a considerable amount of stress, he will seek release. His actions are indefensible; however, he was instrumental in ushering the end of segregated Apartheid in America.
We ALL come out the womb corrupted or infected with sin. Covered until the age of accountability. It will take more than these rumors to turn my mind to these allegations. I perceive it's was/still is a setup. You are marching to change the backwards heart of a nation, where your every move is monitored & bugged. They knew this. Yet we are suppose to believe 'evidence' of their stupidity. Even if they had video I still wouldn't fall for this BS. They could of paid anyone of those 'victims' to come forth & destroy the movement. No Not buying it.
I think we should at least wait until the tapes are released and verified until we take down the MLK monuments and take his name off of schools and streets.
@@special_k-hvac they are doing it to george washington, columbus, jefferson, and those guys are from hundreds of years. If this is true, this is from what, 50 years? So I think it will be interesting to see where this goes.
It's worth noting as well with this 'age gap couple' that if she has a 2 year old child at the age of 19, then she was 17 when that child was born, and who knows how long before that they were already sexually active, I mean they started dating when she was 16, so it's seems likely he didn't even wait for a year before pressuring an underage girl for sex.
WHY DOSEN'T THE FBI RELEASE ALL OF THE SEALED INFORMATION? BECAUSE THEY ARE WAITING FIR EVERYONE INVOLVED TO DIE OUT BUT THERE'S JUDGMENT AFTER DEATH!. AMERICA WILL EVENTUALLY FALL ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME.
These rumors have surrounded MLK jr since before his death. Like the Clinton White House and their "Bimbo Eruption Squad" the rumors were not even denied.
@@number1bobo Denying? Is MLK Jr alive to deny it? No denial means it's true? A friend saying or agreeing with govt agent makes it TRUE? How many of those who walked with MLK Jr was/is getting money from the govt. Where are some of them today? Not standing on the foundation of what they once believed or marched for. Some have become part of the govtl corruption. Freed to take full advantage of the system like a lot of white people in politics. Seems this is what they marched for. Evidence... where are these woman saying these thing with corroborating evidence not some Ford wannabes.
they're 100% true. stop trying to cover it up. Recordings exist and I look forward to seeing them be verified. there literaly absolutely no reason for someone to provide those things unless they're true.
There's a personal testimony from an SRA survivor on Aquarius Collective, part 2, half way through the episode, regarding MLK . So sad to hear about the wicked legacy of MLK.
As a 59 year old black woman whose mother was a public school teacher, I'm disgusted at how MLK was lifted up as a man of faith and a hero. I've been a Christian for 29 years and I JUST found out 3 months ago, ( February 2024), from listening to 'the Charlie Kirk Show, what a fraud he was !!! 😮 Not only did he NOT believe in the deity, virgin birth and ressurection of Jesus but I heard that he was not even a legally ordained minister, even though he took the title of ' Reverend'. This is mocking God and another form of "taking HIS name in vain". How dare they use my savior and HIS word to further their own agenda but the U.S. as a whole, has thumbed their nose at God for decades. I guess I should not have been surprised that MLK was a puppet.
Please do NOT be fooled by ignorant people who have an agenda, or who don't get their facts straight. How many actual books of Dr. King do you have? Did Charlie Kirk READ from any of Dr. King's books, or did he give you just his school paper claims? You don't even have to answer that. Because I know the game people are playing because unlike them, I actual HAVE and have read a number of Dr. King's books, and they do NOT repeat the same liberal theology from his school paper days. Go read his book "Strength to Love," and then talk to me about what he believed. But don't let people bamboozle you with their ignorance and misuse of school paperwork, because the FACT of the matter is, Dr. King did NOT repeat or support his school paper theology AFTER school and in his LATER sermons and books. So do the research for yourself, and read for yourself.
I'm part-Irish too, and I was pretty shocked when I found out about the extent of their persecution. But I never lived through any of it (which is a good thing, by the way), and so I can still take a more keen interest in that history without acting like it is my personal history or that it makes me a victim. I once brought it up in a cultural appropriation debate and a self-proclaimed anti-colonialist dismissed it. And I think it should be dismissed: ethnicity is irrelevant to argument, but they don't dismiss other histories on the grounds that someone who didn't live it invoked it.
We Irish Catholics who’s ancestors lived through the famine, then our great grandparents being persecuted when they immigrated to the US, then working as coal miners in West Virginia, or as dirt farmers on land nobody else wanted, which later became the center of the Dust Bowl… leading to many of our grandparents driving in their jalopies across the continent to become migrant farm workers picking the crops in California… we do suffer from multi generational trauma that these events created in our dna (epigenetics,) as well as the class struggle that even today many of us still experience. My 5 siblings and I worked hard and ourselves through college in 70s through the 90s (I’m the youngest and my oldest brother is over a decade older than me,) only to find out that the good managerial jobs we were promised for graduating with honors went to the WASPs who went to Ivy League schools and knew eachother from the yacht clubs. I worked at a museum for several years and witnessed that all of the people behind the scenes working in the marketing, registrars office, curatorial department, fundraising - they were all in the same club. Their parents knew eachother and it was important to be part of the donor class in order to secure funding from the wealthy and elite. They only hired us public university attendees as front house staff. Didn’t matter if you had a masters from UC Berkeley. You wouldn’t be able to help them get donations from the Yale or Duke dollar. An overwhelming number of us were of Irish descent, whose parents struggled and sacrificed to put us into private Catholic schools, so we could get degrees and have a chance at the bright future they thought was ahead. Haha! I’m not saying that I’m a victim or that I am owed anything. I’m just saying that we will never be one of them. They can see our humility a mile away and know that we don’t have that elite mentality.
I think that the man and the values should be looked at in separate terms. MLK said that we should judge someone on thier character and not on thier race. As a Conservative I feel this speaks to me, it is the values I hold and the values that I want to pass on to my future kids. If these tapes are true, what does this mean for all the good that MLK had set in motion? You look at what happened with other historical figure and see schools being renaimed, thier work smeared and legacy being destroyed. America has gotten a little colder and less humane. America is the greatest country the world has ever seen. Our forefathers had fought and died for these values. We have not always lives up to those values that creates America.
While I don't want to completely dismiss the possibility that this is true, haven't there been advances in technology that have allowed for extremely realistic and convincing videos to be produced of people saying things they've never said? Considering that, I would think that just audio would be much easier to fake. That said, this certainly does need verification.
You can add plagiarism to the list. His famous speech and others were someone else's work. He certainly does not at all deserve any of the notoriety he has received.
The most dangerous cowardice is not ignoring King's sexual sins, but continuing to pretend that the "Civil Rights movement" was a good thing in the first place.
Slavery was the practice of the world back then. It was wrong but it wasn't taboo either. It was a normal way of life and was not unique to any specific country. Rape, assault etc on the other hand has always been been bad no matter the time period. Judging the founding father's and other historical figures of that day with the standard of today is not logical or fair but the same standard that king broke has always stood in some way or another so that " excuse " cannot apply to him. Pretty disgusting things if they're true.
The one thing that nobody says is that if he were just a civil rights leader then okay. He was a Rev Preacher. He was a Hypocrite!!!. That is never mentioned..
In the Bible, Jesus said that there’s not one man that’s good. That the only one who’s good is our Lord. We need to make sure we aren’t living a double life. Don’t allow yourself to tarnish your legacy. Let’s not idolize men or women. Let’s be better people each day.
@J L N we can judge him but at the same time not tear down his legacy. Tearing down is postmodernism for you. western civilizations are built on the back of imperfect men with great ideas. Ppl try to tear Jesus down bc he might’ve fucked Mary Magdalene. Fornicating before marriage which is a sin.
Hebrews 11:1 faith without works is dead, likewise work without Faith is dead. Work/energy yields life or dead t things like manufacturing. Use energy in what your building kenetic/potential energy yielding manifestation of effort.
@@lil18thletterking77 aye my communication was Hebrews 11:1 is faith and James pointed out we need Hebrews faith defined in Spirit shown in our natural works as illustration of our spiritual belief no? Sorry I speak or type the way I do. I never said one author or the other anyway, the point was the spirit/word is true in both instances two witnesses of faith. I can't cater to everyone's speech pattern. If you know the truth and feel I am lying then disregard my comment.
I’m not calling any of these people liars, but I wouldn’t know how he’d be able to justify this in his mind as a Baptist minister. I know that doesn’t guarantee he’s immune from wrongdoing, but it’s nearly unbelievable to think that a man such as this would repeatedly rape women without giving it a second thought.
The guy who did the report was a white anti trump socialist. The only reason he’s saying the things he is saying is to get at MLK’s family. MLK was a socialist but a partisan republican while his family even today are conservative Republicans. He even said Malcom X was a gay prostitute. Malcom hated the Democrats. It just seems all so off to me and very sketchy. This is a typical leftist dream, to accuse a man of rape while it impossible to defend himself.
I'll say this. If the allegations are true it doesn't change the fact that the cause was legitimate. At the end of the day, no human d=being deserves to be made out to be an angel. they're all flawed. But the bigger thing is whether or not the issues he was fighting about were valid or not and they answer is they were. What was being done to American citizens simply because of their color was wrong and things needed to change.
the fact they didn't come out during a time they wanted to bury MLK is suspect to them being real in my opinion. But none the less, we do not know what on these tapes or if they even exist. So to act like it is fact and do things like stop honoring him is silly. This is the exact argument used by the right today when defending trump. funny how FBI is not trusted when it comes to trump but here they should be trusted. either way their is no evidence released as of now. Whats going on now is speculation.
My opinion on taking down statues.... I'd much rather have tangible gains in terms of education, economic opportunities, BRING OUR JOBS BACK TO THE USA, housing, access to medical care than symbolic gestures. Now, f you're gonna pay me when you take a statue down.... well, how much? I might even help you.
i think we should apply all the bars and tear down all the statues of those people because their actions are unjustified no matter what society considered acceptable at the time
Excellent perspective on MLK. The age gap story is icky. PC parenting...Honey bees are safe. I've stood next to a giant hive while the beekkeeper was cutting comb, looking for the queen, and moving it into a box. With no special gear, we were entirely safe (except for one bee that got entangled in my clothing).
I disagree with your characteriztion of Thomas Jefferson. If he did have a relationship witha slave (not saying it is right), his culture at the time was one of slave holding people or being slaves. You would have to know alot more about Jefferson that you seem to to talk about him.
Is this evidence really that strong? Doesn't seem so. It's all very subjective, in any case. It's a non-story. The reality is, we lift people up for the their greatness, of which can be measured by what it has led to. We should stop tearing these people down for their human, and depending on the era, normal behaviors. People such as Jefferson and MLK, left an empowering legacy that should be celebrated.
@@luxzartheglorious I agree....but I am just saying, we don't need to tear down anyone's statues over this stuff. I wish the media representation were more fair.
It matters to me when black political leaders are unaccountable, untouchable because the news media will not hold them to account because they're black--the Obama treatment.
I believe it. This is why Rev. Abernathy did not really care for King. You know, if you were to look at photos of Rodney King you could see a MLK likeness. Just saying. If other statues were taken down then take down King's. Bottom line.
JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR is human and GOD who was offered as a final sacrifice for all sins of those who simply believe that he was who he said he was and did what he said he did as written in scripture. 1 Corinthians 15 : 1 - 5. Matt, Thanks for all you do. Reference at 02:00 on this video.
I'm really conflicted on this. These allegations are BAD! I won't judge him on the color of his skin but now I'm questioning the content of his character. I really don't know how to think. I guess I find it easier to separate the good from the bad with George Washington or Thomas Jefferson partly because they lived 200 years ago but also because they are not worshiped the way MLK is worshiped. We have no schools in our county named for a president. When we built a new school that replaced a school in a black community it wasn't questioned that it be named for MLK. He had never been to our town. He'd never spoken here. He had no relationship to this area aside from his national civil rights work. We have a national holiday to MLK. There is no Thomas Jefferson Day. And I guess it's the hypocrisy of it all that gets me too. I'm really thrown for a loop.
Why should there be schools, universities name after Presidents, where as if not all but some where slave owners, racist, or jus didn't care. Who R we 2 judge?? Period
I dont think Hoovers cointelpro program would let this go and not use this against the gourps And people they where working to surpress why not stirke down the movement hoover wanted to distory with this daming info smh
Not saying one way or the other about what you're purporting concerning MLK but either your writing or your oratory skills need a lot of work. It's very frustrating listening to you. Best way I can think of saying it is, it's like listening to a car with a stick shift trying to be driven by someone who's never driven a car let alone one with a stick. Do you ever post links? If I was to the left or the right I wouldn't touch that story with an 11 foot pole.
I found that CNN had covered this more that a year before this videos posting. 11/3/2017 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-74qsIao0rw0.html Of course, it is CNN, so you have to take anything they say with a grain of salt, and question everything they say.
I feel that if this were true it would have been put out there a long time ago to discredit his whole movement. Being a womanizer is one thing but this is an attempt to completely assassinate his character and everything he stood for.
