7:20 as somebody with 2 moms,when people ask me or my parents this question i honestly just say "i call them mom and mama" but since i have 2 moms because of marriage and not IVF some people are like "well ones not really ur mom so u cant call her that" and im just like "im sorry,but are they UR parents" and to be fair,i still have my dad who IS actually a dad and not a donor,so i kind of understand what people mean by that but at the same time so this question is really rude and stupid.

I find it so odd how so many clinics are so different! My clinic doesn’t offer sedation for egg retrieval so I was just awake as is everyone else who passes through! But they have one clinic in another location who will offer sedation that you can pay extra for if you’re worried! It is paiiiinful and I totally relate 😂

I was awake for both of my egg retrievals in uk! I didn’t know that wasn’t the done way 😂 it was so painful 😭 both times!!!

There’s an old Adam Sandler move called, “Big Daddy.” Where his character finds out he’s a dad and has to take care of his 5 or 6 year old child. Throughout the film every time his child pees on something or throws up he just puts newspaper down on top of it and goes on about his day. This is how I felt when my kids were little and they’d wet the bed but I was too tired to change the bedding in the middle of the night. Just throw a towel over it and go back to sleep. 😂 morning showers help you wake up anyway, right.🤷🏼‍♀️ No shame, all parents have been there. Lol

I know it is hard, but make sure you do take the time to be intimate. That is how we share a physical connection to our partners and the dopamine, oxytocin etc that comes from “special times 😂” is healthy as well, and deepens our emotional connection. Many people do not find the same and let it go, and then it turns into longer and longer in between, you see more fights, aggregation towards your partner and so forth. I understand waiting now until OB/Doctor gives you the go ahead and ensures everything is healed. But, it can still be a one way street for the 6 weeks. Intimacy does not always mean some type of sex/sexual act either. Honestly try to wake up or go to bed 15/20 minutes early/later and make sure that time is spent actively listening to each other, holding each other, no distractions. Put babies on a similar schedule, and during one nap time instead of chores- do a puzzle together, make out, don’t miss the opportunity to talk and be best friends. Always take every piece of advice with a grain of salt - not everything works for everyone- however, my oldest child that I birthed is turning 8 in June & I have a 2& almost 4 y/o all boys + a 12.5 teen girl with us all throughout the week right now, and has been with us since late August of 2023. With each pregnancy, with each child your life adjusts, your family unit adjusts and the first few months are the hardest as you know due to lack of sleep, hormones etc. Just still take that time; keep that connection strong, make sure your relationship comes first before other things ie. cleaning, laundry so forth. If you guys aren’t working, your family unit isn’t working! So, I know as a parent (s) we want to always give our 110% to our babies, but if we give them our all and leave our partner with 15%, we wont be as good and healthy. Mom & mom having a strong; loving relationship will always benefit your babies greatly!! Get over the oh we need to do XYZ, or we can’t have sex because of this and that, and pushing it further and further away. That is also pushing your human further away. Take the time!! Everyone wants to feel wanted, and desired ❤especially after having a tiny human!!! I say this with so much love, and care (I have also been with my spouse for 10 years July, and I’ve never been more in love) Much love you guys, congratulations on baby girl and I can’t wait to hear her birth story.

Being intimate with your partner while pregnant and after baby arrives is hard. While pregnant there’s so much going on mentally and physically. Afterwards, both parents are exhausted we tend to not think about intimacy bc you’re so sleep deprived. What we did during my pregnancy and after, we made sure we expressed our love in other ways. For example we cuddled more and gave each other massages etc. It was a way for us to express our love for each other when I wasn’t feeling 100%. Just remember this phase is temporary, so please be patient and kind to your partner. TRUST ME, you will get that mojo back. After 6 months I’m starting to feel like myself again. We can’t keep our hands off each other 😂

Yah that woman was wrong. Its not confusing at all. Children hear these things and are so unbothered and just understand-- its adults that confuse opinions for truth. Those kids are so lucky to have 2 mums. ❤

Tip for toddler tantrum? Ignore them, they do it for attention (that’s if you’ve tried everything of course) and after about 20-30 minutes they calm down, I have a 3 year old

Could you not have an epidural and have the operation with some sort of anesthesia
