Loving the clever choice of music @ 15.57. Hostile Lands was a perfect mix of Scottish & Arabic sound. I'm at the opposite end of the equator in Cape Town but wish I was there with you. Was last in Morocco in 1983. Well done pal.
When you realize, you filled bad gas, get to the next „good“ station and put „good“ gas in. Why, injectors can glue-up, if not more, if you let the bad stuff sitting for hours, especially over night. It needs to be cleaned out before that happens by filling it with good gas and ride that for a couple of miles. If the tank is full, ask them to pump it out as much as possible or use your own gastube you have for rescue (right?) to drain that. You can gift that to someone passing.
Easier said than done. In the Sahara and Mauritania there are few gas stations and if you're going to get bad fuel from one you are sure to get it from the next one. Also, to drain my tank, I need to get my tools out to remove the panels and tank - and what do i replace it with...? More bad gas...?
19 degrees and heated grips on!!! Oh boy are you in for a shock to the system back in Blighty…🥶 I advise you take as long as you can in Morocco or southern Europe. Thanks for keeping us entertained and updated on your journey. The wife and myself are loving it…..heating on! Stay safe, shiny side up.
@@onemanonebike8514 Yes no problem I just waited until the next upload and then watched them in the correct order rather than watch them out of sequence I’m really enjoying this series of videos thanks for taking the time to edit and upload them
Delighted you got the rim sorted out. Another great video. You're certainly a man at peace with himself and loving his travels. Thanks again for taking us viewers along with you.
A big part of the adventure is how you deal with things when they’re going wrong you seem to be absolutely taking it in stride. What a great role model.
Looking well Ian. Guessing you obviously hit a pot hole earlier in the journey, but great to see you managed to get it fixed! Enjoy the weather for as long as you can! its nothing but cold and loads of rain here in the uk, especially in Aberdeenshire! (Nothing new there i hear you say!). Enjoy the warmth and the sunshine! looking forward to the instalment already! 😎👍🏻.
Hello Ian, Thanks! Awesome! You are leaving out Ben Amera then, i was hoping you show me how to organise to get there without having to do 430 kms of deep sand…
Hello Ian I have a dl650 and tried it in the sand in morocco in october 2022. i thought it is not the bike but the rider who came to its limits in the sand between m hamid and foum zguid, but i would still give it another try with less luggage…@@onemanonebike8514
Been watching your progress. I'm amazed that you made it so far south - you are inspirational. I've been in a two year process of planning a trip out well to the east of blighty later this year.
A great trip and one I have been following as I will be doing a similar trip from South to North later this year. Please can you confirm that you did your whole trip without Carne de Passages and only on Temporary Import Permits? Thanks
