If ever a 'vlogger' made me want to experience something it's you. The solitude and vastness of riding through the desert has a certain appeal about it.
Amazing scenery and great cinematography of your journey to Dahkla Ian! I admire your riding skills especially zipping through the towns and villages...high fiving 👋the children eagerly waiting to say Hello to the Nice Motorcycle 🏍 Rider from foreign lands!
Hi Ian - another brilliant video, thank you for them all. It’s about to drop below freezing here in Glasgow and snow in the next few days so no need to rush back to Helensburgh. BZ Jack!
Loving the series, as I’ve commented before balls of steel. My only observation is the riding roads wouldn’t be good for me.plenty of beautiful European roads that are more enjoyable as a motorcyclist.what you are doing is beyond my comfort zone. It’s made me want to just set off without a destination. I cant camp due to my age and physical limitations.
Wow! Ian that's quite a long haul but you've captured the beauty and vastness of the desert 🏜 so well! I'm glad as i'm sure you are that you were able to get some good gas👍 As always...Happy Trails Ian!
580 miles is a good long ride in anyone’s book. It’s good you didn’t stay a third day as by my calculation you would’ve been up near 900 miles for the following days ride.😂.
Great video again Ian, good to hear you are feeling good and the bike is going good again, looking forward to the next episode of your adventures cheers mate for some sunshine in the middle of a Scottish winter 🥶
577 miles in one day....very impressive indeed. After travelling in a complete sandy wilderness for so long and really enjoying your on-board footage, I was starting to resent seeing motorhomes and other forms of western civilisation as you headed up north! Looking at your map, it's hard to believe you're only a boat crossing over to the touristy Canary Islands! Anyway, enough of that civilisation stuff, best wishes for your safe onward travels. Take care.
I just love your videos- and the music. Very relaxing to watch. There is no narcism about you, and your resourcefulness is inspiring. Every time you wish your you-tube ‘subscriber’ well it makes me giggle 🎉
Can't believe it, hard core, I'm heading to Cornwall from Ipswich and we are booked into a hotel half way, me and the Mrs look forward to yours vids, it's not quite as cold as Scotland down here, but I'm out Sunday filming my adventures, truly inspiring, stay safe buddy
Hmmm, hahahaha, when you‘re feeling that fine to stay in a good low budget hotel longer than necessary, I wonder if your inner person actually starts wishing to be home, instead of riding. A road-traveler can‘t stay on one place longer than required. ;-) Unless there‘s active program to be found or he‘s tired.
Very inspiring once again, so much so that I’ve just ordered a whole heap of camping equipment!! Many hours of watching other RU-vid motorcycle camping videos for guidance & recommendations, and it seems I’ve bought the same Trangia spirit burner & stove as you appear to have, so I think I’ve done ok…. Never camped before, so my initial trips to test everything out later in the year will be eye-opening! All the best, Paul
Right. After April - when the weather improves - start my making small trips. I night here and a night there, and then start building up your range and the nights you spend camping. Also, by making short trips, you soon work out what works and what doesnt and how packing your bike soon becomes a dedication.
@@onemanonebike8514 thank you, great advice. I have a pre-booked week away in b&bs & hotels early May (partially in my favourite country, Scotland!), then I’m thinking of a few days test-camping in the Peak District in late May. After a trip with my buddy to Poland (again, b&bs & hotels), I’ll have a week away camping, probably Scotland again… All this is building up to a journey I’m planning to Istanbul starting April or May 2025, mostly camping, for around 6 weeks.. 😬🫣. Thanks again, and enjoy the rest of your fantastic trip. Cheers, Paul
thanks for this footage, gives a perfect idea of how it is on a long trip. and also your choose for the music is very good and original . well done . in the netherlands it was freezing the last week , so no riding lately, therefor is your footage very welcome. safe trip up north
Thanks for all the videos you're posting. The video image is always stable! Any videos that I take on the bike have a lot of trembling! What camera are you using? "Saludos" from Spain.
Hey…nice vid ! Can I ask what roll bag you are using there and how are you getting on with it ? I’m in the market for one myself at the moment….shortlist is a lomo Vizallo, or an Oxford Aqua t50 or t70!
No. Prolonged use can incur side effects. I'm old enough and not need any extra health concerns so decided to just take more care about exposing skin and making sure my tent was mozzie free.
Hi Ian that has to be the most boring journey in the world, I don’t see anything beautiful on sand, sand, and more sand. otherwise enjoying your videos.

The Vizallo. Its brilliant. Its robust, clips onto and off the bike quickly and easily, and you can also use two little couplers to connect the straps on the bike together so theyre not left dangling. Since I've had it its not let any dust or water into the bag. it really is a superior product and i am so glad i bought this.
