The problem with your argument is that Israel did not attack the embassy, nor the consulate. Israel bombed a building adjacent to the consulate in which there was a meeting of terrorists from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah; no designated embassy or consulate personnel was hurt in the attack. It may well have been the case that the building was situated close to the consulate as an attempt to protect it from attack.

It's worth remembering that Judes declared war on Germany back in 1933 and it was in the newspapers. I wonder if anything similar might have happened? Is it possible that Israel had struck an Iranian embassy with multiple missiles just prior to this?

This war is hard for me to pick a side. I acknowledge Israel and its God given right to the land and to defend itself. But the heavy-handed dealing with Gaza and the deaths of children and its citizens is hard to comprehend. I guess the longer Israel drags on this war the more negative press it will receive.
