Ep 37, 80 Series build - Barra test time 

Yep Rob I was pretty confident about that motor when I acquired the XR6. Only need a couple of seals, a sump mod and a conversion kit fit it in the 80.

Hi Glen, had a bit if a rest (to much work work).

Seems a good strong motor, if this motor fails there are plenty of BA's kicking around for parts.

I'm def not the first to do this conversion but is a first for me. Quite a bit more power, lighter and more economical than the 1FZ-FE.

Yeah mate is pretty good considering the Km's it has on it.

@@robertaus8420 The 1FZ-FE is in good nick Robert, thinking of putting that into a GQ Patrol or similar just for shyts N' Giggles. I do feel a nasty case of Tourettes coming on though.

Hi Andrew. The 1FZ-FE is under the bench. Nothing wrong with it just decided to go in a direction that I find more interesting. It will prob find a home in another project. Maybe into a Patrol just to stir some purists up for a giggle.

Well would have been a huge effort to fit that Ford Barra into the 80, not just a simple engine swap by any stretch of the imagination. But thats not what is happening Plenty more eps after this one so keep on watching Jax.
