Thank you yet again for your beautiful and truly inspiring homily father. I pray for you constantly to keep leading the faithful to heaven, please God 🙏
Hi Father Meeks. I pray that all is well with you and your family. I miss you and your wonderful posts here, hoping that all is well and you will be posting again soon. As a Catholic who spent many long years away and have returned to the faith just within the last four years, I especially have been appreciative of your posts for returning Catholics. I have learned so much from you. God bless you!
Amen and AMEN !!! Thank you, Father Meeks. Truth pronounced at its best. God bless you, your family, and your continued Priestly ministry and mission 😌🙏🕯🕊
Thank you brother Meeks for speaking the truth boldly , Jesus said ,"You are the salt of the world if the salt losses it's savor it becomes useless" . We must stand for righteousness and resist evil like in days of old.🙏✝️
I really wish my parish priests were speaking these truths to the congregation. Instead, we obfuscate these dangers and evils, either afraid of reaction or just thinking silence is the best option. It is not. Look where it has gotten us. 60% of all CATHOLICS favor abortion. That is very, very sad. We have a large part of the electorate that promote and vote for this stuff...like Biden making the Sign of the Cross while at, and talking about, abortion expansion.
The days of Catholics 'turning the other cheek', going along to get along, are over. It is time to turn over every table where so called 'Catholics' ignore Church teaching God's law. Sadly, the first table we may need to uproot is at the Vatican. We have a leader who is beholden to an ideological agenda where many of his goals are antithetical to Church teaching. The saying 'a fish rots from the head' is appropriate here. It is now time for Catholics who truly love the Faith to rise up and say 'NO MORE' to this watering down of the One True Faith.
At St. Brendan's Church of the Bronx, New York, Fr. Silva became the pastor several months ago. Ever since this time I never heard a single sermon against abortion. I heard him say a sermon in which he mentioned that he hoped that no one considered himself to be affiliated with any political stance. He gave another sermon in which he talked about how he grew up in Mexico where the church was being persecuted. There are those who revert to talking about past persecution but not present persecution in their own backyard to avoid sounding affiliated with a political party and even have peace of mind.
Waiting 53 years to hear a sermon on this: Leviticus 18:22 has been translated in common English versions as: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination. And when you’re an abomination you try to obscure that bit of scripture. What would St Catherine of Siena say?
Thank you, Fr Meeks HOWEVER I doubt that U-tube will tolerate such teachings for too long. I hope you have a Plan B so that you may continue to share your teaching with us. Thus far I have not found you on X (Twitter). Please give this some serious thought.
ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “The love of Christ is more powerful than sin and death. St. Paul explains that Christ came to forgive sin and that his love is greater than any sin, stronger than all my personal sins or those of anyone else. This is the faith of the Church. This is the Good News of God’s love that the Church proclaims throughout history and that I proclaim to you today: God loves you with an everlasting love. He loves you in Christ Jesus, his Son.”
Special dispensation due to Fr. Meeks having been an Anglican priest. Fr. Meeks had FOUR impediments to becoming a priest. Pope Benedict approved them ALL. You might be interested in watching his conversion story on EWTN's Journey Home
