Attended Saddleback College, but an Oceanography class which featured a couple of oceanographers from UCI. Because of a couple of cool programs I wrote I was invited to go out on a channel island underwater mapping expedition. This could be along story. I won't do that to you or anyone. But oh what a trip for a midwest boy. I came back with a lot of abalone caught off of San Clemente Island, and having learned how to prepare them, we had a bit of a block party in Laguna Beach. It wasn't that much, but oh they were good. We sailed in on that side of Catalina by the way. I slept under the main mast most nights, by choice... it was warm, and I loved the stars. Thanks for the memory rehash. I'm sure you loved it also. Also... keep it up. Grow your channel. Your honesty helps you, even the video & sound mistakes. You laugh first, and others will usually laugh with you. Great job.

Loved seeing you out enjoying all that area of S-Cal has to offer, even if you didn't actually see all of it. It would seem that Kayleen holds her breath the same way I do lol. As irritating as fees are I suppose if we want those areas to be available we have to help support them. Looking forward to the rest of your journey south, may it go smoothly.
It’s true! The facilities are well maintained and it was organized so we didn’t mind paying for a night or two, we just cant do that all the time ! Thanks john!
Many of us are going to also head down the coast. We watch for things that worked and things that didn’t. Would like to hear or understand how you fixed or replaced your auto steering?
Good thinking! Episode 46 we talk about fixing the monitor windvane and we still haven’t fixed our electric autopilot haha. Episode 47 I talk more about other things that have broken too.
Brian was at Avalon years ago..in addition to the $60 per night..do they still charge a fee for going ashore? Great video. So lucky that you are a diver! Good work with the anchor
