Shefali Shah, one of the most talented women actors today, has had a long and enduring career spanning over two decades, which saw her transition from an actress to every character she played. She was awarded the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie ‘The Last Year’ in 2007. In a candid conversation in ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Shefali Shah opens up about her journey in the Mumbai film industry to OTT, which brought her into the spotlight in 2019, portraying her as a 'strong woman' on Indian screens. Shefali also talks about her filmography and shares her experiences working with different co-stars as well as contrasting roles and how she ended up choosing them.

All the great actors /actress have two things common- Highly expressive eyes and modulated voice. She has both the trait. Look twinkle or narrowing of eyes and simultaneous modulation of voice to put across her point. Brilliant actress.

Indian cinema was very inclusive and it was never misogynistic or male centric until the likes of javed akhtar and salim Khan came along Subsequently there was also dawood imbrabim, Shahrukh Khan, Amir khan salman khan etc you can see the one commonality between all of them

Conversation that needed to take place 30 years ago,not just about the molestation part , while of this conversation,are finally happening, on a public platform thanks to the women but when will the 'few good men' join in ...and support their counterparts against such perverts , shefali M'am is a super actor and such a delight to watch right from her tele days she never chose crappy roles but that was before Ekta Kapoor's saas Bahu saga era,that carcinoma stuck and still dominates the tele .. Breaking the norms and the fixed mindset is what life (and business) is all about. Had met Shefali briefly at a party - in my teens and I could call her a style diva - she looked amazing that day - 30+years back. She's come a long way since then and carved a place for herself in television and cinema. And as the old adage goes - Age is just a number - and thanks to OTT platforms for bring out the talent - an example worth mentioning is Pankaj Tripathi. All the best to Shefali in her future endeavors. And yes, you've still got the OOMPH 🤓

1:02:50 I think she's missed the big picture. For example, in the Indian judiciary, all judges are only from about 400 families. That's a problem. Even in the Indian supreme court, same families keep appointment each other's sons, uncles, etc. That's a problem. The default explanation that she gave whitewashes the actual problem. Enjoyed the rest of the interview.
