Ep. 66: The "Leftover Deer Clips" Video! Sept Oct 2022

I think I had around 130 leftover clips from the last two months. I view each one, trim out the best 5 to 6 seconds or so, put them in specific folders (Opening, Sweetie's, Peytons, Zoes, the boys, turkeys, Casper, Ending), then start randomly putting them into the editing program with no rhyme or reason. Geesh!
These are all very wild deer that have come to trust me in a very unique way. They run if anyone comes walking down the road or tries to come into my yard. They stop in for a quick snack, then head back out into the wild to live their normal lives.

Hi Marc! Yep.....the wind can play havoc when it starts blowing the sheet music off the orchestra's stands out here, and the choirs robes start blowing up in their faces. :-)))))))))))))))))))))

@@flyfish0822 I can imagine you were running around making sure all the plates were full for the Dear family that showed up for thanksgiving! However, I hope you took some time for yourself and family for a feast for you. Since you have so many turkeys for friends (I count myself amongst that group) I would imagine turkey was Not? on the menu? LOL Nope, it was a Cornish hen. Poor thing. Casper got some, too, but I think she would have liked it raw a bit better. The deer always eat better than me. That explains some things. Ha ha ha! Oh....you'll hear from me before Christmas. 😀

My friend I have enjoyed your clips for years and they never get old some of your 4 legged friends are better than some people I have met I have a lot of furry friends I treat them with respect if they don't want to be messed with I don't push and try to train them like a road show I feed them when they are hungry and try to fix warm safe places when the winter cold hits a little bit of hot food makes any one happy so I know the feeling of satisfaction that comes when you respect our four legged or two legged friends Semper Fi USMC retired

Hi my hero, Ray! That is so cool that you do that. I know the wild animals here love to get snacks, but especially when the snow and cold hits. We already had 30" of snow in mid-November (average is 5"), so they were all stopping by twice a day to get some "energy snacks". Hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :-))))))

Do you put out salt blocks for the winter? If so what brand or flavor do you use.

Hi Ken! My neighbors have a plain salt block down in their backyard on a stump that the deer just love. I had one a few years back that looked like a rock and the deer were always licking it. Lots of stores carry salt lick blocks. You would probably have good success with any brand that you get. :-)))))

Hi Mark, great videos these recent ones. I emailed you but you didn't email me back. I just lost my mom at age 90 on Oct 21. I ran out to Vegas to spend a few days with her but she was already in death coma. Hospice nurse said she could hear still so my sisters and I talked to her. She didn't have any pain, just had Alzheimers and started refusing food and water. I have to email you about a kitty I took in. Hope to hear from you.

Hi Danette! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom! I didn't get any emails from you, even went and check my spam folder. If you still have the email, try to send it again. I lost my mom, too, the day after Mother's Day. This spring, summer, and early fall were very hectic and I was gone so much. things have finally settled down a bit.

Hi Laural! Yes, it is the first holiday season without her. Thanksgiving was not the same. I know Christmas will be a bit difficult, too. The wild animals love to put a smile on my face each day, though, so I enjoy spending a few minutes each day with them! Hope you have been doing well! :-)))))))
