💞 confluences abound … There is nothing that could be more evocative of the deeply felt love for the land. As the composition begins, the first rain drops fall gently but gather power as they form rivulets, then streams, now strong torrents of rushing water, and finally confluence in the mighty Vltava River itself that runs through the heart of Czechoslovakia and nourishes all of its people. The Shelests play from their hearts, together, as they plumb their unfathomably deep love of their own land and as we well recall that this banned immortal masterpiece was played in resistance to the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. Extraordinary! Amazing! Bravissimi & THANK YOU!

I had been listening to the symphony version of this piece for years until recently I came across the piano version of it on RU-vid. It is equally fascinating! Your piano skills are spectacular!

Such a beautiful piece of music, and what a wonderful piano duet arrangement! I wonder if this piece of music is playable for solo piano? I would like to learn it sometime.
