I loved this video. Even though I know this road well, it was a pleasure to watch it all the way through. Visitors should keep going another ten minutes for the historic and leafy Victoria street you were on. Then keep on route 6 and turn off for the beach, 20 minutes away. Warm water and red sand.
I see you just discovered the secret to making your footage look as crisp as physically possible when finished!!! Congratulations; more excited than ever to see more from ya!
Yeah these Sony Actioncams are surprisingly good. Once you get used to their extreme wide-angle lenses, which can be good and bad for road videos. It's good for scenery but it makes cars and other objects right in front of you look very far away. It's just a certain "look" they create.
I don't like how RU-vid doesn't let you set priority for subscribed channels. I haven't been getting reminders when new videos are posted on your channel and I wish RU-vid would inform me right away. This is one fantastic Video. Weird that the provincial highway signs in Nova Scotia look like U.S. Highway shields. Whenever I hear about Sackville, I'm always reminded of my days of being somewhat of a "shortwave radio geek". Because of those soil conditions I know that Radio Canada operated a large Shortwave radio transmitter than many broadcasters all over the world used to broadcast worldwide on the Shortwave Radio bands. I used to spend lots of time listening to international broadcasts that I know were transmitted from the Sackville shortwave transmitter all the way over here in Winnipeg.
I believe you can turn on notifications for specific channels in RU-vid settings. I'd give it a try. And yes I remember that huge radio transmission site. It's been tore down a few years ago. It would have been cool to capture video of it. My dad was in Zambia a few years ago and they would listen to CBC Radio News which was being transmitted from the site. Pretty awesome indeed.
Welcome to the worst highways in Canada. Be prepared to have damage to your stuff in your trailer or camper. The bridge expansion joints will cost you an alignment for sure. If your on a motorcycle watch for pebbles on the rural roads and low shoulders. Try not to go onto the shoulder because it’s washed away in places and there are no guard rails.
