Great video! I definitely enjoyed being greeted by the windmills near Amherst when entering Nova Scotia. On an additional note, it was quite difficult to find tolling information for Cobequid Pass unless you already crossed it before- we weren't sure at first if card would even be allowed. Also interesting to learn the noteriety of Trunk 4 that got bypassed by it. I had planned on driving back that way, but the rain was so hard that we stuck to crossing the Pass again. Love the new intro and graphics package style! Great to add some branding!
Thank you! That lowland area at the provincial border is pretty interesting for sure with the windmills and all. Honestly, I also struggled to find information on toll payment beforehand. Of course I was driving my mom’s vehicle and she had a stash of change in the compartment under the steering wheel lol. So I had a few loonies and toonies in the cupholder cause I wasn’t sure how much it would be. Glad you like the new graphics! The Champlain Bridge footage in the intro is just temporary for now. I have to go onto my old computer and grab a bunch of old footage so I can make a montage intro! That’s my goal.
@@FreewayAndrewCAN The rest of the folks on my trip were from Toronto but never use cash including myself, so at several points we had to convert to quarters, ahead of needing to cross the Halifax Bridges numerous times (stay was in Dartmouth). Was easier in the states as they had US dollar bills ready to give out.
@@xlbolt I was staying downtown, so I only had to cross the Highway 111 bridge once going in. Going out, of course I took Highway 102 around the city. I can relate, I don’t tend to carry much cash. Luckily there was a ton of change in the car to use so I didn’t have to use my cards.
@@FreewayAndrewCAN I was right next to the Macdonald Bridge but I ended up also just crossing over for the sake of crossing the bridges. I recall crossing 12 times total over the 60 hours we had there.
Not this time. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to explore Nova Scotia. I do plan on going to Cape Breton next time, so I will obviously get that as well. Hopefully I can make it back next summer.
Too bad the Nova Scotia Government didn't remove the Cobequid Pass toll for Nova Scotian expatriates as well as residents. For example, if a person originally from Nova Scotia lives in another province, such as Alberta or Newfoundland and Labrador, he/she has to pay a toll. In my case, I'm originally from Nova Scotia, but presently live in Western Newfoundland, meaning that if I returned to my homeland and cross the Cobequid Pass, I would have to pay the $4.00 toll.
