Tan Sri, not all Chinese businesses are passed down from generations. Most of us are still struggling 1st generation trying very hard to survive. Thanks to our hardworking culture passed down from our ancestors. Thanks for the good work.
Agree with you, I think Chinese businesses passed down from generations are coming to be a thing of the past. Most Chinese /Indian businesses now are 1st generation & we are struggling to survive. If this EMCO continue, then we really will close for good & join the B40.
The Chinese businesses that can be passed down for generations have mostly diversified overseas. What's left here are those striving to make ends meet while fending for themselves all the way. It's a poor assumption on the panelist's part.
We need leaders who fear God and love the Rakyat. We have bright and intelligent minds. Set their minds planning strategies to control Covid-19. Go down to the root cause. Besides vaccines, are there any drugs to treat Covid-19 and save our people from dying? If many other countries, esp India, have successfully managed Covid-19 by using Ivermectin, why not follow suit? Ivermectin is a FDA approved drug, used to treat head lice successfully in humans. It is cheap as it is without patent. Where are the priorities of our leaders? Are they not motivated to save the lives of Malaysians. Dont they fear God? Dont they love the country? Dont they realise that when they die, they cant bring along the money with them to hell or heaven, whichever may be. In God, we trust that our leaders will act rationally.
22:50 A few days ago my wife observed an adult man and his small child (dont want to mention race) going trough the tong sampah for scraps of vegetables thrown away by traders at pasar borong seri kembangan. usually these are leftovers or almost spoiled vegetables unable to be sold or not fit for consumption. she came home in tears at the condition we have come to. meanwhile politicians are showing off eating maggi mee in social media to show how much they are relatable to the poor people.
That is a really sad story, kesian your wife had to witness such tragic circumstances by her own eyes. I live in area just behind that pasar borong. Many times the police and immigration do raid there, my heart always goes to those workers who get caught. Because what happen next is, their towkay will visit them at lock up, tell them they can be freed, for certain amount of money, and the towkay will deduct monthly from their salary to recover back the bailout money. The worker who agrees, goes home and back to work tomorrow. Those who don't, God knows what happened to them.
You are right ... But PN gov of Bersatu PAS UMNO... They don't care. Their position and kuasa and money.... Politician of both side are idiot... Not all of them.
Dear Tan Sri, why is there talk of allocation to bumiputera? We are all Malaysian. Help should be given to all Malaysians independent of their race. What is race? All of us will breathe our last breath and die - and then race will be nothing.
The word Bumiputras is sickening, it's embedded into their world. Pls. Show me, any group of learned Malays who openly disagree with the government on using bumiputras statues. The creator Dr. Tun M. He single handled ly destroyed the nation.
@@JWu-jt7fz there's ketuanan Melayu in the government sector but ketuanan Cina is widely practiced in the private sector. Totally agree race is a stupid concept but there are many Malaysian Chinese who hold on to this concept when it's beneficial to them.
I'm 4 year working at Tesco and 4 year at Aeon jusco, 4 year as supplier for Aeon jusco. Let me tell you all the true... large retail struggle is padam muka ,they deserve it...Because they is high rebate charge in large retailer chain so lot supplier open sell at shopee or open he own supermarket like rosyam mart which previous is supplier. Lot small supplier can direct sell their products to consumer thru online without face with ego purchaser at large retailer chain. Retailer suffer because it out of trend and lose competition with online sales.
Smart Businessman Mamak, have to filter his conversation; 80% is good feedback 20% is personal interest. Even the well connected insider Dato' who max the System for himself is worried, then whatmore for everyone else.
crushing and emphatic episode. Thank you. Hope this goes out to the ears. Things need to change. 6000 deaths so far fought, but the wreakage and aftermath...
Extract from recent heartbreaking 💔 front liners video: “The lockdown is involving sectors that are not main cause of the rise of the cases. Whatever that are the major cause are not being locked down”. Agree with panelists blanket lockdown will kill the economy & with it people’s bread & butter for survival. Agree must swallow ego, listen to people in the know & learn from countries that manage the pandemic quite successfully.
Sad is when you see the poor man in the street without food, carrying white flag, lining up for good aid... The cry of the rich means little to me and a little to late.
The banks n shops should not charge interest n rental or reduce it in this hard time. If banks don't charge , shop owners will also reduce the rentals. I remembered during 1987 time, i automatically reduced for my tenants cos i know its really hard. Just imagine at that time professionals also no job. Thats y i appreciate Tun Mahathir till today. He brought Malaysia up.
One more issue is the increase of medical insurance premiums at times like this..Insurance companies say they got approval from BNM for. the increase in premiums..tks
Hi Datuk your sharing is sweet to my ears. People like me are suffering because of co and taada suara to say anything to have any effect but knowing it affects people like even you and other big tycoons at least we know something will change. Tq
I feel that the govt ministers and officers are behaving like academic politicians. These guys talking they are streetsmart. People who are on the streets are the ones who are suffering. I guess the Mydin Chief is right, Covid is not the cause of people suffering. The policies implemented by the govt is making the rakyat suffer more.
Agree prices of vegetables and fruits are very expensive..it not easy for ppl to survive actually unless all are working in the family..Hopefully our country could be able to manage n go thru all these issues n pandemic ..GOD Heals and blessed our land Malaysia..
Why do bumiputras still need handicaps?.. after all these years & NEPs?? Again, using 'social unrest' to discourage the non bumis to speak up for their rights as equal Malaysians. Sad to hear this from Dato
@@karunakaranveeramuthu7081 I wudnt say the bumiputras are lazy. The handouts and handicaps do not reach alot of the real needy ones, the ones who really work hard to feed their families and improve their lives.
I believe there is a discrimination out of the government system to non Chinese in the business. Sorry to say, but it is a reality. If every of us regardless what races play their roles and treated whoever's equall,. Malay, Chinese, Indian, IBAN, Kadazan will together remove the NEPs. This is true in our community. Jobs opportunity, businessess, loan bank, all concurred by one race in the private sector. It is very obvious
Good observations from DW Ameer. One good aspect of DS Najib's administration was engagement with business groups. Never done before & not done since. Govt loves 'experts', who are expensive consultants, not practitioners.
Govt insist on hiring local and bar foreign workers. I had the horrendous suffering of employing locals (for manual work) who are at least 30% more expensive AND 30% less productive than foreign workers!!!(use MC like holiday. No show after payday, etc etc) Performance dropped, cost went up and customers complained. From schooling system the government bungled and bred a handicap mentality depending on govt handouts. No focus on developing intelligence and productivity, force private sector to hire locals etc etc. Vomit blood.
Yes at least government servant (those in the civil service) still get paid by taxpayers even during EMCO, some of us aren't so lucky as when we don't work, there is no money. Eventually, if the SME's cannot survive then they have to retrench their workers & close the company, then there will be more jobless people & no one to pay tax. Does the government realise that without taxpayers, economy runs to a standstill & then even the civil service won't get paid & where do you think the government will get money to hand out to b40's or for "essential services" to continue plying their goods when people don't have money to buy essential goods.
When we talk about the logistics situation in Malaysia, much of the delay is caused by non-existence of a national data system. Often, the flow is disrupted by the slow interaction among the various Government agencies, each trying to show that they are in control BUT without any accountability for any delays which they have caused. We have had spent so much in digitization but up-to-date none of the system can deliver! Such attitude comes about because every Minister is given the power to create his own silo so that he can maintain his power base at the expense of national interests! That is all!
We are in bakery shop is planning to close business are bad left 10-20% ,how to hire people working ,I think they are many like our shop, economy don’t know how long can be cover ,I think nobody know as well
17:22 I am sorry to tell everyone whether high risk or low risk in my sejahtera makes no difference. the risk depends on user to self-report and update their condition that may have or not covid. No one stupid enough to make themselves high risk and go into mall to buy food. it doesn't have any capability to do contract tracing at all. When i was tested positive in april 21, kkm officer ask me to screenshot every mysejahtera scan and whatapps to him. WTF? KKM officer cannot pull data from server directly, not have any data analytics built-in? Mysejahtera is quite useless in current form.
These are the people needed to be running the country . At least the ministers should consider their ideas . Hey politicians, Let’s work for the country and not just lining up your pocket . And also in billions .. omg
Well Said Tan Sri...you are the voice of the bottom line.Hope Datuk Johar bring those issues to the Authorities in charge.People are dying of stuffing.
4.48 "we really have to do something' I'm sorry to say, En Ameer, your G'mt isnt listening and they don't care to do so Well commented and criticized on the real issue, nevertheless. Datuk CW, what this country really needs is more Industry leaders and KOLs coming out to view their displeasure of the way this country is being managed. Instead of we have to #kitajagakita and #SAYJAGEBISNESSSAYASENDIRI. Nobody DARES to be on the wrong side of the Gomen
3M people have been vaccinated. Why can’t they go to work. Some countries allow travelers to come in n not quarantine them at all. Why can’t we just let them work with strict SOP
Before govt claim, whoever vaccinated for second dose, can travel here and there since e-passport provided.. What happen now..? If govt allow essential to operate, but they announce EMCO.. whats the point..?
To get vaccinated is not about travelling. Primary aim. If vaccination is to build herd immunity. Then slowly we can return to normal. Passport, travel can only proceed when the cases are down.
We are not a failed state, not yet. But we definitely have plentiful of failed politicians and enforcement authorities. At the going rate, the little light at the end of tunnel would most likely be the headlight of an approaching train. Good Luck.
The whole ecosystem collapses and the multiplier effect will still be at work. It will just spiral downwards more. Those sensible Datos and Datins of Malaysia should wake up and do something.
they keep announcing bpr la bpn la and all those but who is really getting it?? Whats happened to M40? I understand B40 needs help and should be getting help, there are others too la. All these announcements are so stupid. Moratorium - need to apply - when said it's automatic. wheres their brains??
Guest speaker is super. Very well explaining about what’s happening currently. And I don’t know why you want to have the Tan Sri Johan in this call. He is not suitable for this talk. Don’t put this DBP guy anymore. Doesn’t carry any value.
agree 100%, please only invite guests who can contribute and add value!! similarly your episode 74 - you might as well have had a dialogue with rafidah (who was brilliant)!!
don"t say locals don't want to work Dato Mydin, if locals are paid a decent wage , of course we will work !!! but most bosses prefers to pay foreigners good salary pay for accommodations , OTs ...etc but locals just low wage
As long as there is no political will to solve the country problem, no matter how much talking, the problem will be there. Everybody and very sectors have their own interest, at the end the poor citizens suffered.
Ministry official have wonderful ideas but would the head, DG or minister listen? These heads are shy to ask the lower civil servants for those ideas...
Thank you for a good Ep. Chun Wai , could you get a media person covering COVID from Singapore / Hong kong / Malaysia to compare and share how they are managing the COVID
Retail collapsed? Can you show us the consumer price index for the past 6 months? Inflation rate? Many products prices gones up. Ppl migrates to online purchase due to emco.
We Indian men will never give up......No matter what happen, we will continue to do investment and trading in Malaysia....We also will continue embrace technology method to making our life better......
Dato, what 30% quota for housing were you talking about? Allocation kah? So if you personally believe that it should increase to 60% giving non-Bumiputra only 40% then can you give an empirical study on how many housing development received more than 30% applications? Thanks.
Malaysian have been lock down more than 2 month what did our Gov done to help Malaysian that suffer and lose income ?.Where our vaksin during this period?.Malaysian have been dying not due to covid but due to Pressure without enough income human willl grow crazy that true.I respect Mydin Boss he dare to speak the truth what actually happening .
May Allah guides those in power in making the right decisions, may Allah place the really really qualified Incumbent in the key positions. In Allah we worship in Allah week seek help.
Mydin's Datuk Ameer, you are most righteous with a strong points !!!!!!!! ......... one Chinese collapse equivalent to 10 Bumiputras that bound to collapse......!!!!!!! If other Bumiputras having your similar ideology, Malaysia will be the best region to live in and undoubtedly, harmony !!!!!!!!!
I think you need a balance view from a doctor. I am a doctor from nz. We got full lockdown of everything , except essential items, then we only open our economy. We succeeded. Lives is above all, livelihood comes later. Let me know if you need me to elaborate.
Rakyat is 'offered' bakuls of junkfood to fight through this pandemic. Rakyat is begging, those idiots degrading them further. Current govt leadership is not just failed, disgustingly failed.
60% "because it is our country". Much of what is said makes sense. But this one assertion really grates , unfortunately. Even an ostensibly 'Malaysian' entrepreneur whose market is multiracial slips in views like this. Sad n disappointing.
If your business fail, it is someone else opportunity in future. But because of your business, good people will die, they will lost their future entirely. Stop talking about your retailer's interest. Don't be selfish. Stop shop for awhile and let the country recover. Even MCO cannot stop the onslaught of the pandemic, you think your government don't have headache is it. Please lah, this is soap opera for your self gain, period.
Pfft.. he is cunning. He is more concerned about his wealth deterioration above anything else. Mydin became rich by Malaysians. Have you seen him giving back to the public during these times?
