but even if we work in the permissible section of investment bank our salary would be coming from the entire pool of the bank which is earned thru haram means so is that halal or haram?

Assalamualaikum brother. I am currently a Finance undergrad, what career advice would you suggest for me? Other than islamic finance, Investment banking is generally haram so I would like to know what other options is there with a finance degree. Im not really interested in other fields. Thank you.

Asslam alikaum brother , can we work in investment banks like UBS ,BNP ,JP Morgan etc in back office rather than front office? Is it fine ?

What about working in the M&A division in a boutique ?

M&A in a boutique that doesn't also do the sales and market building aspect and debt aspect is fine.

@Islamic Finance Guru Jazakallah ! Thank you for your answer. Do you have any examples of boutiques where it will be possible to work inchallah ! I mean for examples Moelis, PJT and many others. On LinkedIn profiles we see a lot « M&A and restructuring ». And whats's your opinion about restructuring ? Allowed or not ? Jazakallah
