I was really expecting to like Floriferous---I was totally shocked that I didn't! I'm hoping it will grow on me with repeated plays🤞 Herbaceous is a lot of fun! I hope you like it!🎉🌱
Haha, I was actually thinking about bringing Floriferous to my mother-in-law as I thought she might like it since she gardens. My husband found it be a bit meh as well, but he also hates farming/gardening related games. He always tells me, "If you want to garden, we have a whole yard you can go do that in." But I do think my mother-in-law will like it. We didn't play any physical games this week, but we did play Carcassone on the Switch. Made me think of you because you can get the Winter Edition as DLC. It was a lot of fun and, if/when the robots take over, I think I am sunk because the AI players were gunning for me. They would do all sorts of mean things to block me and then turn around and give my husband the castle piece he needed. I won a couple of games and it made me feel like I had overcome so much adversity! Please stay cool down there! I know here in Maryland, it has been a muggy mess!
Yeah, you've got to watch those bots on the digital Carcassonne: they'll take your cities, overrun your fields...😆 I enjoy gardening and gardening games, but in the August heat I can only keep the game-gardens alive!😆 Your mother-in-law might like Floriferous---a lot of people love it! I'm definitely a minority opinion!
Take 5 is one we haven't gotten yet because whenever we have group sessions we prefer to play other games. We aim for games to play either together or solo when do an order these days. Shame about Floriferous. It's money spent and even with all the research these things can end up happening. Another example that just because a game is loved by many, it doesn't mean it'll be loved by us. but as you said, maybe you will like it after a few more plays 🥺 We are still trying to find our balance for days off. We try to work on weekends and so fit a day off in the week, squeezing a sneaky board game in whenever we can. I probably have too many games for player counts we rarely hit, but Take 5 plays well (frustrating, but well😆) at 2 players. Lately, I've been getting more card games that can be played with either 2 people or a larger group. My next video is going to be about small games for a small space...you might like some for your "breakfast games"🙂 But what I really need are more games with snow!🤣 Autumn is coming! Stay cool!❄️
I didn't know solo was an option on BGG! That's good to know! I definitely want to try Floriferous with more players; it will surely be more interesting with more players!🤞
