Really looking forward to this as I am planning for the loop next year. I am trying to figure out a good boat and I have a budget but would like to stay under it but I have some requirements. I am about 6’5”, I will be solo except my dog will be with me. So lower helm or I could install a remote system headroom, no ladders and a good davit system and tender are important.

@@NoRegretsLifestyle I would appreciate any help. I got your name from Daryl Moorman who is also here in Chattanooga. There is a Mainship 400 nearby that I am considering but I was hoping to not have to spend that much. The cost issue for me with many boats is the cost that it would take to get it to where I want to keep it. I was hoping to keep it in the Scottsboro AL area as their taxes, marinas are much cheaper and it is pretty close to Chattanooga. Solo navigating has been another concern but I have also been looking at systems like DockMate and YachtController to open up a wider variety of boats. Thanks!!
Interesting about the temperature. I did not even think about you would be staying in a certain temperature range due to moving around the Loop. I really do not like the sound of a generator running at night.
