Ep113 Displaying: Star Wars The Black Series - General Grievous (Clone Wars) 

Thanks Justin. Yes, the joints look better on this version but it's still hard to put him in dynamic poses. Especially when you want to do it on a rotating base like me for this video. I have to say that the joints slowly became loose as I posed him and a stress mark started to appear on one elbow joint withou me even moving him too much. Also the figure is just to short for the scale so I would still go with bandai model kit. But when we are talking about looks this is a great looking figure. Just don't pose him on the shelf without some kind of stand. 😃

@@ActionDisplayChannel yeah i just got this figure and it takes me about 5-7 minutes to make it stand up without falling, dynamic or action-like poses are hard without a stand so i will probably get one soon

Thank you. It's a great looking figure but it's still hard to make him stand in a dynamic pose. True, you can put him in few dynamic poses and even in one legged stand but he will fall. My task was to do this on a turntable so I had to use posing stands. 😃

@@restock_1731 I'm glad I did, yes. 😅 Honestly, I don't have the original so I can't compare them 100% but from what I can tell it is the same figure with maybe a bit tighter joints. If you can't get the model kit or even the first bs version this is the way to go because it's the only option. But bandai model kit Grievous is the best figure by far.

@@ActionDisplayChannel I am unlucky (🤣) to have the BS version, and he's held up by one of those dynamic pose stands. I saw another review and they said the joints seem a bit better, so that's a bonus. I really would like to get this Grievous at some point, the color scheme is pretty awesome looking. I'll have to look into the model kit also. 👍

@@restock_1731 Stand is a must have for this figure. Model kit even comes with a stand designed for that Grievous figure. I would say get that kit but his prices are high now. If you can get this cw version go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I feel like this figure is easy to brake and it's just because of the way he is designed. I barely moved his arms and already there are stress marks on few elbows. I'm so sorry to hear that your figure broke.

@@ActionDisplayChannel ah it's OK they should have maybe sacrificed the hands to be bigger and maybe on a ball joint or make it so the arms come with separate split arms like the model kit (which I might get, is it worth it?)

@@ActionDisplayChannel OK is there one for a decent price because when I look all I can see is them for £80 which is a lot for a £30 model kit, and yeah I'm going to check out the posing session.

@@elderguard Thanks. Yes, prices are a hugh problem. This kit is hard to find now for a good price but that's a problem in general for a lot of these SW figures. I hope that in time you will find one with better price.

The cape is not the same. It has only one layer, not two like the original one and feals cheap. There's not much flex in this type of fabric but it can get the job done.

Thanks! I used wire for some poses here. It's a simple thin wire that you can find in stores, nothing special. 😃

I don't have the first version but I would say that it's the same figure. I guess they did make the joints a bit tighter but from my experience some joints got loose the more I messed around with them. I would also say that he is still hard to stand because of the way his feet are designed. There are no ankle rockers and that's the biggest problem.

I still don't have him in my collection but I did already made a video for Arc Trooper Echo. It's episode 38 on the channel. From what I can tell it's the same body so the articulation is the same.
