Thank you! Actually, someone gave us a piece of good advice (which we haven’t used yet) - some Leroy Merlin stores offer tool rentals, so you can rent a floor polishing machine for a week and "easily" sand those tiles.

Rols, I've been hearing & reading so much about the wonders of Bicarb Soda lately, but never did I imagine it would assist in removing pain from old tiles!! That's great news, simply because there are many fiddly areas in a home that need a "miracle" paste!! Wow, the wallpaper virtually slid off that wall, Rols! Great video and love your rockery too. I've just had an idea, why not ask the marie if he knows anyone who would be willing to help you get the cart back. I'm sure he would be very supportive of you and probably knows someone with a horse or vehicle that would help you. It will be beautiful when it's cleaned up. The family at Escape to the Dream Restoring the Chateau have one too filled with flowers. I like Alla and Sergi's channel too and I've learned a lot about gardening from both your channels.. ❤❤❤

Hi Suzie & Rols. The rock garden is looking lovely. Rols the walls don’t look too bad after the wallpaper comes off. There is a product that another young couple from “Growing in France” has used to easily make the walls smoother. It’s something new I believe. I’ll try to get the name of it again. ❤❤❤

Love the cart. Tow it with your lawn tractor or your van. Do it slowly 1 mph or 2 kph. My lawn tractor would pull it easy

You have both been very busy. I hope you don't have to rip down too much ceiling to fix the joist. That wagon is beautiful. I hope someone comes forward to help you move it. How awesome to have an impromptu visit from the mayor and historical society. They must be very proud that you are caring for the place. The water pump is a game changer. Several old house-owners on RU-vid encounter the same problem: 200 yrs. old floor tiles that are just worn out. It's not for nothing that the previous owners painted these floor -- by lack of money to replace them. I think one should just leave these painted floor as they are or either replace them or place new flooring on top, keeping in mind that these stone floors greatly contribute to the temperature inside the piece.

@6:30 in the vid, I completely agree with Rolf, the tile is SO COOL!!! real terra cotta vs painted (too red) terra cotta every day!!! Good thinking removing the wallpaper first! once it adheres to the floor, the bicarbonate method will take it off super quick 😉😃 never in my life has it come down that easy!! @14:00

Love the rockery Suzie! And the tiles will look awesome if you sand it Rols. But to preserve the tile after it will be good to put a stone sealer on it. It works wonderfully.

for paint removal on tiles you might like to try spray oven cleaner... the oven cleaner is sprayed on and left over night, to remove burnt on mess in oven, also removes paint and grease on other surfaces... worth a try to avoid all the dust from sanding... after allowing to work over night or several hours, wipe off with soap and water, while wearing rubber gloves. Paint should come right off

That wagon looks to be in good condition. Do you know anyone with a trailer for hauling vehicles? In America we would call it a flatbed truck. It wouldn’t have to be dismantled if you were to use that. Hope you find a way to get it to the chateau. ❤

You watch Allah and Sergia I've watched her very first one was going to mention sanding the tiles she is really clever Sergia does a good job sanding the wooden ceilings I love watching you I've a bit of a list now , I don't watch TV just watch all you clever people doing a good job bring places back to life. Have you watch the one who have a 1500 century bread oven they want to get it back to working they are going around searching for a oven like theirs to do a good job love too you both ❤❤❤

For the bedroom floor...have you thought of just painting it? I would not do all the work to strip it. And sanding would be a huge mess.

No, we don't want to paint it, we want the natural tile colour, now it used to be. It's worth putting in the hard work now, we would use a plasterers sander that sucks up most of the dust, thank you for watching 🤗
