I completely agree - it's a little sad when someone purposely separates items that belong together and have been carefully stored together for decades! I would definitely have picked up the lonely lid as well - I love vaseline glass. 🔦💚

Hey guys!!! I am here because of my mom! She loves you so much!! We are so in for thrift hauls, antiques, unique stuff!! We live in Greece and we don't have variety in our flea markets!! So we travel with you into your videos to all of your hauls!!! It is so unique nowadays that there are people who collect old stuff and have such a good taste,it feels nice to be different. I am 34 and i filled all of my house only with this kind of decoration!! My hubby hated it at the beginning but now he feels so nice that our house has its own signature! My mom's house looks like a museum. like mother like daughter what can i say!!! 😊😊

It was hard to get a good photo of her, the glass likes to reflect everything in the room. Rob did an excellent job though. She is stunning! I have looked very closely at her and the level of detail is amazing! Definitely an awesome find! 😁

Wow!! Someone seriously separated the bowl from the lid. Some people's kids I tell ya. I like that oil lamp bracket and reflector, I have a few that I use in the winter, the heat from the lamp and reflector takes the chill off until I get the fire going. I'm still a bit primitive up here in the mountains.

Maybe the lady had the broken the bottom of the uranium dish? Still wouldn't have wanted to separate The lid from the bottom. Beautiful piece of uranium glass, & hope you can find the bottom to it. Cindy

Hello my friends, hope your having a great day as always, your right what a shame to just buy the bottom and not take the top also , a little odd and sad,I am sure you will try and find another bottom to match the top. Love your day to day videos ,are you going to do them during the winter also or go back to once or twice a week? We are still moving into our new house lol so much treasure to pack and move lol we don't move fast lol but will get there . We are trying to film extra right now, so we have garage sale content to put out in the winter - I don't know how it's going to work - it may trickle back down to 2-3 per week until spring again for a bit... hard to say.

The Italian painting on porcelain is exquisite. And in seemingly pristine condition. Good find. The person who separated the dish from its lid should be made to stand in the corner for a couple of sale seasons. :-(

Gene Florence who wrote the book on rare depression glass looked at my butter dish lid and told me that I could discard the bottom (not really) as they did not add to the value of the lid. I don't have the bottom and had some other random dish under the lid. 😥

Karen just sells through a local buy/sell app - a lot like LetGo or OfferUp. Shipping in Canada is expensive and makes it hard to compete with online sellers elsewhere.

The green uranium glass lid seems to be from the Hocking Glass 'Princess' pattern from 1931-1935. The person who bought the bottom must not be a collector because we know that the lid is most of the time harder to find and more valuable than the bottom on most depression set.

Don't know her reasoning (already had the bottom & broke the lid?), but take the lid, even if you keep as a spare, or put away if you're just using the bottom part, that way it's still there. Odd indeed.

It was.. but we didn't need it, and we aren't technically resellers - in that we don't resell for a living. So unless Karen knows for sure she can flip something quickly, we'll typically leave it. That may have to change in the coming year though. :)

The woman who bought only the bottom of the uranium glass dish obviously had no need for the top. Maybe she was going to plant something in it. One thing for sure.....she hasn't got a clue.....no appreciation for the past.
