Very clever to use the french cleats Rols, it fits perfectly. I love the paneling so far and can’t wait to see it painted. Charmaine you are very brave and have come a long way. What a brilliant scheme, Rols! Loving the panelling you're creating & the French cleats are a very effective way to affix the panelling to the wall! How sweet of them to give you the fireplace surround. The color will be perfect. I have never heard of or seen a French Cleat(?). How interesting. So much better than the contractors adhesive to put it on the wall. Congrats Charlotte for getting out of the hospital.

May I suggest don't get rid of the firepalce you have now just yet. It may come in handy as you renovate other rooms
