@tehokowhitumoke3565 True that I wasn't aware probably luckier than Kaikoura though they've only had 2x 3 months seasons since the quakes. It's pretty picked over down here anywhere easy. A boat helps find the bigger ones.
Where are you based mate? our family travels full time currently> I love diving but I'm a bit green, I like the shallower water.... 5m Is prob my limit, keep the sharks away... I've done a few videos diving for Paua and cooking them up... Saw there was heaps around Colac bay, and Catlins, let me know if your keen to meet up and do a Colab... We'll be coming back that way early summer, late Spring.
Dunedin based but I like to explore other coastlines aswell. I'm in a similar mindset under 5mtrs has been my dive courier, but it's time to start pushing out of my comfort zone. The Catlins is good diving. Yeah a colab sounds good I subscribed to Your channel, I'll check it out soon. I'm just fresh back from Stewart Island it was rough in the Strait today.
@@drivedivenz Sweet, Dunedin is a spot we plan to check out as we head back North likely early december, Not to sure yet. I'm pretty much just keen on the Paua and Mussels I think I should get a spare gun though, seen a few good fish around, I'm pretty green to diving, so its nice to go out with others.
@leopardsgowild Dunedin has some pretty cool sites to see the locals are friendly and the coastlines are pretty epic. I used to use a Hawaiian sling they're cheap as, it was a good starting point, I'm still yet to use my speargun. There's some good moki around at places I've dived. I'm hoping to do another trip around the south Island at xmas, I nearly circumnavigated the south island over 18 days last xmas.
