What to eat in Osaka? Soba in Dotonburi, Squid in Japanese curry in Shinsaibashi, modern creative sushi and giant tuna carving
What a ridiculously amazing food day today in Osaka! We did not plan any sight seeing today because we had to hit the shops but what an awesome sight-eating day!
1. Akari Soba 手打ち蕎麦 星
Quaint little soba shop in the heart of Dotonburi. The owner looks like a master and his foods taste like it too!

2. Semba Curry 船場カリー 東心斎橋店
I'd wanted a Japanese curry since we'd arrived and I spotted this place near our hotel. Further investigation found they use squid ink in their curry!! SOLD (even tho the reviews were not fab, I'm always up for trying something different). Was a tad disappointing... maybe my expectations were too high. As a normal curry it was yummy.

3. Jinen じねん 鰻谷南通り店
Oh wow! What a meal! I'd seen reviews about this place and the creative twist they add to sushi (and I love me a twist)!
After being a bit disappointed with my curry we decided to try another place which ended up being closed so Jinen was the closest alternative (from my list of "want to go" places).
Boy, am I glad we went. We showed up 5mins before opening time which is the only reason we got seated because 20mins later the place was packed.
Not only was the sushi amazing and the staff friendly, they did a giant tuna carving right in the middle of the restaurant!!! How lucky were we?!?!? I still can't believe it!

4. Strawberry Mania
After we walk off our double dinner we spotted this place. It's very eye catching and I assumed it would be a bit gimmicky but the eclair was lovely and the strawberries were insane!
