So how did you fix the light? Does it just go off when you get the new sensor? Or do you have to clear it with a code reader somehow? I was taking off my Hub and I just ripped my passenger side in half so I'm going to replace it.
Possibly when you start the car... you need to drive for a few seconds to clear the code... so that the car can see the sensor it picking up the wheel speed.
If I over tighten the abs sensor bolt and snapped the bolt would it cause any kind of issue? Because I did a 5 lug conversion so now the car kinda vibrates as I get a slow stop and when I do a instant stop the car stalls also when driving on free way as I brake the car shakes? I’m lost on what is the problem. I have a EP3 as well.
Hi, is your ABS sensor still installed, regardless of the bolt snapping? Or are you saying the ABS is coming on when driving, when it should not? If I was going to guess, I would say you should change your front discs and also check the hub to disc mating surface is clear of dirt or anything making the disc not sit flat to the hub. As this sound like the disc is either warped or not sitting flat on the hub. Good luck!
Thanks but before I did the 5 lug conversion I bought new rotors and brake pads and still did the same thing. As for the abs sensor I actually molded down so it didn’t move because I don’t know how to remove broken bolt. The abs sensor sometimes will come on but the funny thing is it starts braking normally no vibration or what so ever but when it’s off I get the vibration while stopping on low mph. Also I didn’t bleed my brakes either because some dude on RU-vid mention I didn’t have to?
Hi, It is quite hard to diagnose the car, as I have not seen it in person. I would bleed your brakes anyway, as it is good practise if the fluid is old. Another thing to mention is, have you tried swapping your front wheel to the back, to see if the issue is still there. Maybe your wheels are not balanced or have buckles.... worth a try
