Considered the Greatest Pipe caver of all Time. Sixteen is a legend and his granddaughter Nanna is still I believe making pipes . They a course go for so much money but to Art and function in the Briar . He passed away at 89 yrs old . He left a legacy that will never be forgotten. I can’t afford a Sixteen pipe but love seeing them . Thank you for this great video so much great history here . Your a amazingly good storyteller and we need this for future generations.

You’ve opened up a new world to me, I own 4 Stanwells that I’ve found and fixed up, and now I realise they are All designed by sixten (04 b, 13 a, 71 and 75), it adds a whole new dimension to these already beautiful pipes when you know the story behind! Thanks!

Very interesting story. The stanwell shapes, in particular the ones designed by Ivarsson are so interesting. Thank you for another great video - yes - from a time back! Greetings from Quebec.

Keep hoping there'll be more content from Bare Pipe. This video got me interested in the Sixten World and directly responsible for a solid collection that now numbers 34 designs. Problem is a good many have jumped on board making the prices sky rocket. Small price for the pleasure these pipes are...to smoke and admire as the art they surely are.

I really loved this video - and in fact I have so enjoyed all your videos. Many of them I've watched many times over. I'm finishing up a new video in which I really extend my gratitude for all that I've learned from your videos. It'll be up in a day or two. But I wanted to let you know, and tell you how much your series have taught me. Thank you so much!

To other people seeing this 10 months later, Pipedia has a list of Stanwell shape numbers with designer names, so you can find sixten that way around :)

Wonderful commentary but would have been much more educational if it included images of his designs at various stages.

I’ve been trying for days to find the pictures of young sixten ivarsson holding up pipes. Trying to make a collage of sorts for the man cave. Anyone have a link to the photos used in father the flame?
