Garage sale furniture finds! We went to a local garage sale and found some antique and vintage furniture to flip, in the form of 2 small tables! One is an antique oak 2 tier table, and the other a vintage MCM side table. Then at another garage sale we found this AWESOME vintage Detecto lowboy scale!!! Hello. The speckled enamel pan is a bunt cake pan for making cakes that have a glaze poured over them. You bake the cake, then when it's done and cooled, flip it upside down and apply the glaze. They are a thing of the past now, I'm afraid. Great finds. Love antiques. Blessings!

the cat u were petting is identical to mine,it was cool seeing the birds in your yard in the nest,i don't see that very often.those little tables you guys got should be an easy fix with some sanding and maybe a stain

Absolutely agree with you on the aspic. As a kid my aunt told me I had to try her tomato aspic as it was rude not to try everything on the table. I hated it! Lol. Nice finds my favourite is the scale. Tfs.

Uff da, I once had tomato aspic at a dinner theater buffet, not knowing what I'd taken. Ick! Someone told me it's made with horseradish, which I learned by accident many years before!

I found in my limited research when we got it home, that it seemed to be those round dial (lowboy) style scales in particular that commanded the higher prices.
