This is Episode 4 of my trip from the UK via France and Germany to a 3-night stay in The Dolomites at Val Gardena. I then travelled to the coast of Croatia for 2-nights; then North to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana for 2-nights; before travelling further North for 2-nights in the capital of Austria, Vienna; then I headed for home, returning via two evening stops in Germany and one in Belgium.
The tour was organised by Roger Gill, a long-standing member and experienced tour organiser within the members of the www.pemc.co.uk
In total, there were 31 fellow motorcycle members of the UK motorcycling club, www.pemc.co.uk. The PEMC club has over 300 members, mostly based in the UK, who enjoy a wide variety of well-priced events and trips based around the UK & Europe.
Episode 4 covers the following -
Day 12 ~ I rode from Vienna to the next overnight stay in the pretty town of Freising, Germany. My non-motorway route, turned out to be one village after another and few flowing roads, so due to the mileage, I opted for the more direct option eventually.
Day 13 ~ I rode North West from Friesing across the North of Luxembourg and via some lovely rural, sweeping roads as I neared the next hotel. It was located in a very elevated location, overlooking the Carlsberg Brewery and town of Homberg in Germany,
Day 14 ~ Heading further towards home and my next stop in Wavre, Belgium. There were some great roads on this day, although the afternoon took a turn, when Michael filled his Ducati from the wrong pump!
Day 15 ~ As I leave Wavre in Belgium, heading for the Eurotunnel and home, I give my thoughts on my new Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and a wrap-up of the trip.
It looks great on a Smart TV, as it has been filmed in HD.
