Sound advice. We’ve all heard the boat-isms…B.O.A.T.( bust out another thousand)….a boat is a hole in the water where you toss your money….the 2 happiest days in your life are when you buy/sell your boat…etc. Jim is spot on, it’s all about the experiences you create. If you own a boat, you need to have a “the glass is always half full” mindset.

Experiences are what it's about.. Wife and I started in 2018 with a 18' cuddy cabin walkaround and would go to the coast for a week and sleep on the boat.. no A/C.. but we had such great experiences.. Since I've had 5 boats and 1,000's of hours from Jacksonville, Fl to the Chesapeake Bay! It's the best "waterfront property" ever!

good advice about you buying a boat but more you are buying memories that money can't buy that you, your kids, or grand kids will treasure forever, i.e. memories that they can't buy.

More terrific information! Thank you! My husband and I have started our search for our floating home. I’ve seen your previous video regarding information on “when to walk away”. One point that I particularly recall is smelling diesel and fuel tanks. Any other advice? So far, the brokers we have met with are relatively upfront with issues about the boats we have viewed.
