The answer for Question 22 is stated as "D. Superheated vapor. However, the ESCO manual on page ii states that the refrigerant leaves the evaporator as a low temperature vapor and enters the compressor. The refrigerant is a high temperature vapor after it leaves the compressor. The D answer appears to be wrong. The C answer ( Sub-cooled vapor) seems to be the correct answer.

Nicholas Rosamilia just because its cool leaving the evaporator entering the compressor dosnt mean its not superheated ur suction line should be cool at a correct charge but it is a superheated vapor because the refrigerant raises in temp pass the its boiling point due to the air being moved accross the coil

Yes it is always superheated in the evaporator if system is working properly. The point is that it vaporizes in the evaporator and STAYS a vapor thru the compressor and into the top portion of the Condenser -STILL A VAPOR, higher pressure and temperature "but still a vapor" ( a high pressure high temperature Vapor going into the Sub Cooling phase). Thats the point they want you to get@@chrism7275

I was thinking the very same thing that's why I came to the comments I'm happy somebody pointed it out and so then somebody else mentioned that it's correct so it's a learning curve I was thinking the same thing high pressure vapor
