I used it and got cured. I had F1 and type 6. It was an easy process. I had a hard cleanse and I got a horrible rash but went away after a couple of weeks.

My son is on the third month. He has kidney disease too but no side effects as of yet. Hopefully he will be cured so we can fight for his kidney. He just found out he had anything wrong with his kidney until he got the feeling he could breath very well so went to ER and they found it. It had affected his heart which is doing wellnow, but his kidney is stage 4-5. The doctors say most people have no idea they have it until either stage 3 or 4. So guys out there get your kidneys checked. You can save yours by starting before it reaches 4 or 5. That's considered very bad.

Here's my experience with Epclusa. It's a 12-week program, 84 pills all together, and if you have them delivered make sure you order 1 week ahead so you don't miss a dose. It did take a couple of weeks for my insurance to approve it before I could start. Apparently, it is a VERY expensive medication.. I hope none of you have any issues getting yours! As for the side effects, I did notice some fatigue primarily in the first week and also some random sharp headaches. Nothing too severe, and Aleve always seems to do the trick and I take them in the evening to decrease my chances of headaches at work. I currently have 10 remaining doses and as of right now my viral load is 0%, completely undetected!! I had blood work done for a surgery on the 10th week so i got some early good news! I will update when I complete my trials. Good luck to whoever you are! I am excited for you to be hep c free!!!

Thank you for the video!!! I started my 12 week regiment last Friday. Have had a little fatigue and some extremely mild headaches and that sums it up. 1 week down, 11 more to go.

My Hep C has been around for a long, long time. I thought the symptoms I was having were due to getting older. Long story short is I tryed Epclusa, but I couldn't sleep. I actually believe if that side effect hadn't been so overwhelming I would have stuck with the Epclusa. I've always had a problem with falling to sleep, so I believe Epclusa compounded my insomnia. I can't totally blame the medication. I am grateful for the chance to use another Hep C medication without this side effect. I pray this one works for me because the odds are against me if it doesn't.

I’m currently taking Epclusa, started with brand name for first 4wks and insurance switched me to generic for the remainder of the prescription. Had some pretty irritating headaches for the first 10days, nothing major no migraines, and haven’t had any other side effects so far. Currently I’m down to the final 3wks and then back to the lab for testing to determine if further treatment is necessary. I’ll be back in about 3-4wks with another comment.

Hi Laura!! I hope and pray you are doing well and are able to stay on your treatment plan!!! I'm having my lab work and ultrasound done this month so will probably start my Epclusa next month in December!!! I'm very eager to start treatment BUT I am So Very Extremely worried about the side effects!!!!🤔😭😭 Several years ago I tried the old treatment meds and absolutely could not get past the first week bc of severe adverse reaction to it!!! I know my Dr said very low side effects on Epclusa but when I read about it online sometimes it says alot more side effects so I really don't know what to think!!!🤷 But could you and would you somehow let me know where YOU are at on your treatment plan and how you are doing Please?? I would greatly appreciate it more than you know!!!🙏 I hope and pray the Very Best for you today and everyday!!!!🙏😁😀😊

Just started 3rd month of Epclusa. I have yet to get labs done since starting treatment because I must have been a little dehydrated or something because they couldn't get enough blood at my last appointment. So I don't really know if it's working for me. I don't really feel any different than when I started the medication. I had lots of fatigue before starting and I still do after 2 months. I don't know what to do about labs because it's really hard to get blood from me

@@cocoemrick1903im on day 19 i read some scary stuff and have been worried about the damage. Im 22 could you share anything about your experience? I got it when i was 19 . They said i had some scarring from my fibroscan and that it was very firm that was all my details. I was diagnosed after i lost 50lbs and puked months on end. I havent vomited in a few weeks and even that was an isolated incident but i woke up the other day and my liver hurt bad. I smoke weed and it helps but im also reading that its not good for the process

I am 29 year old and was diagnosed with hep c when I was 21. I originally cleared the virus on my own, but it came back and I started Epclusa treatment when I was 23, and have been cured since. I workout every day and eat healthy. I was wondering if it is okay to have some wine with my wife on the weekends since I am cured. Is there any research on this??
@AskCurtis
@AskCurtis 3 месяца назад
Matthew - that is going to be up to your doctor. They all have differing opinions and comfort levels on that subject.

@@AskCurtis Thank you for your response! I try to stay as healthy as possible, and even take milk thistle every day, but 2-3 glasses of wine on a date night with my wife is very enjoyable, and I wish I didn’t have to worry about my health any time I decide to have a few cocktails. I’ve heard many different opinions myself. I will ask my doc at my next physical.

I know the medicine stops the virus replicating but what happens to it after that? Does it keep on living and being destructive?? I just don't understand what happens to them after its stopped from replicating!!! Ive been watching lots of videos but haven't found the answer to that!!!
@AskCurtis
@AskCurtis Год назад
Not necessarily destructive. Your body can keep it in check on its own. In rare cases after treatment some people can have a relapse and see viral loads jump back up This is why lifestyle and taking care of your body moving forward is so important
@cherylrose1177
@cherylrose1177 Год назад
@@AskCurtis Do the virusus live and then die at a certain time or do they live indefinitely?? If there are still some viruses in me after treatment then I wouldn't say I'm cured!!! I would say at a managable level!! but I desperately want all of them gone and none whatsoever left in me!!!!! Is that possible??
@AskCurtis
@AskCurtis Год назад
I’m not sure about having absolutely zero virus particles. They will measure your blood 12 weeks after you’re done with therapy and if they can’t measure any in your blood, that’s considered a sustained vera logic response. So essentially undetectable

In my 3rd week. Have had a headache or 2, little tired the first few days, little queasy once. These things could have been from something totally unrelated to the medication. I feel really good now. I have some energy for the first time in ages. I can't wait for my first bloodwork on July 13th! I'm confident that my viral load will be significantly lower, maybe undetectable!
