That we better than I expected. Loved Illuminations, but it truly is time for a change. If this is just a "place holder" show, I can't wait for the permanent show that is coming!
@woollimy Yeah, except that Wishes wasn't the legendary show Reflections of Earth was. And the reason it was so special was the lack of IP. Unless they change their minds at the last second, the new show won't be as good.
A.F. Whitepigeon it’s probably going to be a little of both. But yeah I agree, that’s what made ROE so special. But I’m looking very forward to this new show coming, and this placeholder is great! Can’t wait to see the finale show!
@@A.F.Whitepigeon Based off of what we know so far, it seems like Harmonious will be a combination of Illuminations and IP's and the focus will be more on music rather than culture. Interesting idea, actually. I'm anxious to see how it plays out
This was my favorite video I’ve seen so far of this particular fireworks show. The fans, Man. The fans! Y’all got into it and clearly knew your Epcot history. And hearing everyone’s reaction to moments they probably forgot about was wonderful! I love fans having Fan moments LOL.
I loved how “One Little Spark” was incorporated throughout the entire show! I just wish that the different countries around the world showcase had a role in the spectacular.
Right? I was wondering where the Canada song and the El Rio del Tiempo song were as well as “We Go On” from Illuminations (as a...subtle throwback to what it took over)
Oh wow...I didn’t realize that it was you guys recording right next to me in that clearing between Mexico and Norway. I can confirm this since you can actually sort of hear me shouting “Fire everything!” at 11:52 in response to them launching all of the remaining fireworks at the ending crescendo.
I’m gonna miss Illuminations because it was my childhood. I’ll always remember being 3 years old sitting on a bench and eating funnel cake with my dad and watching illuminations. But it’s time for a change and I can’t wait for harmonious. Epcot Forever is amazing the music is just awesome
I have to say, I was nervous to see this, but adored it and loved the colorful and whimsical theming of the show itself!! Can't wait to see this again in the future.
WOW!!!!😱 That was phenomenal!!!😁 I can't wait to be the first to see a new limited-time nighttime spectacular shows, Epcot Forever at Epcot and this is only the beginning of the transformation of the new reimagined Epcot!!! That must be the tributes of every theme song from Every Legendary rides and attractions at Epcot, including Soarin' Around the World!!! So, thanks for sharing with us all!!😘
I think they did a good job for a temporary show. My only complaint is the kid narrators/singers...we couldn't have the actual dialog from the various attractions and shows? I thought we were celebrating Epcot? These kids probably weren't even alive when half these attractions were operating. I know it sounds like a weird complaint but personally it would've been more impactful for the fans of OG Epcot to hear the original lyrics and not a "sing-a-long" version.
It was pretty good...until they brought in Aladdin which for some reason takes up the entire final quarter of the show. It's like "yah, you see all this that makes Epcot Epcot? remember it while you can cuz it's getting IP'd". It'd have been a lot better if they left out a whole new world and ended with some reprise of one little spark, instead we get this abusive relationship.
That's a great temporary show. One question though...What was the musical piece at 8:17 that people were so excited about? Was that from 'Tapestry of Nations'?
Too bad the things that Disney is going to do like replacing fast pass plus with an expensive pay for extra is going to drive thousands of people away.....I’m going to vacation elsewhere it’s all about greed ....done!
This is the worst pyrotechnics show I've seen from a Disney park. So much dead space in the sky between effects and they missed so many areas of music sync to fire at it's sad. I get the nostalgia of some of the music, but the soundtrack doesn't belong in epcot. It belongs in magic Kingdom.
@@Bartoman7 I think most people will say that it was the soundtrack that created Illumnations ROE's legacy. Also, it did have a story of unity through the years to it which in my opinion was severely underrated. All this is is a choppy medley of old songs (about 15 seconds or so of each) and really is nothing more than a standard fireworks show. They would have been better to keep Illuminations ROE going until they were ready for the next major show.
Why does no one understand that this is a PLACEHOLDER TEMPORARY show! It’s not supposed to be overwhelmingly good, but at least it’s not bad, so stop complaining about it, be grateful of what Disney has done! The permanent show is gonna be wayyyy better!
Wait Disney is rolling in his grave. This is a major downgrade from Illuminations. It has nothing to do with Epcot or it's featured Nations not Epcots theme. Wishing I had seen the original show.
Tiff Prendergast look past the fact it’s from Aladdin, it goes perfectly with the World Showcase and even for the fact that Epcot is going to be completely new. It makes sense.
