I hope you all enjoy EP1 of my 2019 Family Trip to PITTSBURGH, PA! :D In this episode, my father, my mother, and I try to figure out the Monongahela River in the center of the city! Let me know where should I take my parents next (within the USA, please)! Leave a comment below.
Taking your parents to upstate New York (possibly with Tim Galati) and fishing for pike, walleye, smallies, musky, and trout would make for some interesting videos. Tight lines Leo!
Could you give us a hint for your next location in Pittsburgh? I have always been waiting to see you... we were at Virginia Beach at the same time and I was fishing at the exact same Pier and still missed you!
Love the vids with your mom and dad. His arm is doing great. I’m around the same age as your dad snd have a similar problem with my left arm due to cervical disc herniation and nerve impingement. Your dad and mom inspire me. Great videos, Leo!
I do it when ever I text my girlfriend a picture of any fish I catch besides a bass and tell her I am now a multi-species angler like Leo.( The only species I target is large and smallmouth bass)
Leo glad to see your dad improving and we are all thankful for you teaching us new things about fishing and the entertainment. You deserve more subs bro
Hey EPF! Go to literally any of the dams, I used to live there and the spillways are always better for walleye, smallies, Muskie, Rick bass, flatheads, red horse, Buffalo, drum, white bass, largemouth, longnose gar, spoted gar, sometimes pike, bullheads, mooneye, the occasional eel, huge hybrids and some striped bass. All the Allegheny locks are good and the Ohio locks are great too
First of all I'm very happy to see your father is recovering well. Second of all you have inspired me to learn to properly identify fish. I never realized until I started to watch your videos that alot of the "bluegill" I have caught were actually species of sunfish or hybrids. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the outdoors and the sport of fishing.
Incredible day for ya E.P.F. Living the moment which creates a GREAT memory with Family is Priceless. Getting ready to fish way down the Pocono creek with my son. Scouted it out and found a ton of fish. I can't wait for the moment my son catches his first river/creek fish, regardless which species (I found them and learned a lot , thnx to you). Thnx for bringing an old hobby back to life for me, and my son to enjoy. :)
Your Dad is looking good Leo! Glad to see he is doing so well. Fishing has been very slow lately ,but I did catch a monster smallie yesterday in the Monongahela from my kayak.
You are blessed to have these moments on camera. Me being 40, that wasn't really an option unfortunately. Cherish these moments Leo. I've buried both of my parents in the last 3 years. Life comes at you fast. In a side note, your dads face after that last hookset... he seemed to be reminding you who was better lol. I genuinely hope he continues to improve. Tight lines.
Liking your Dads rig.Used something similar to catch an 8lb mirror from a pond people only usualy catch silver fish from. I used 1/8 ounce drilled bullet sinker to sit on top of the weed and cat food meat on the hook.
respect for leo he spends so much time into his yt channel and he tries but guys, try to share with friends ive shared this channel to 5 people already tight lines leo!
Good to see someone else catching freshwater drums other than me lol The ones that I catch are pretty tough. They have always swam away strong for me. I managed to land one on a strike king bitsy minnow in the mouth! If you want to catch buffalo fish just find a sewer outlet along that wall and use corn on the size 18 hook. Ive actually landed buffalo fish on small ned rigs before too!
So glad you knew what that fish was and didn't call it by the, "Pittsburgh name!" No idea why, but all the river rats around the city call them "sheepshead." It always makes me want to scream when I hear that! 🤣
Wow freshwater drum it looks just like a black drum the only difference it's doesn't have stripes on it. But the black drum will always be my favorite I love catching them.
I really like how you travel to lesser known waters like this. I'd MUCH rather see random places like you've fished than seeing people fish the same "famous" bass waters over and over and over. You're fishing waters that we, common fisherman, see in our local areas...and exposing these waters to folks from outside the area.
@GDom I know, I remember that Classic. I'm just saying its so much more refreshing than seeing Pickwick, Hartwell, Eufala, Fork, Occechobi, Lanier, and all the other Florida/Texas/etc lakes. I like seeing stuff like this that we never get to see.
Finally a known fishing youtuber went to pittsburgh. Well, hope you come back anyway. Fishing is rough here. I think the flatheads eat all the bass and size a like.
Lololol did we just see a Shao Lin hookset from daddy epf. He is looking great Leo. You can tell these fishing trip with you just make his day. You go get em daddy E.P.F.
I haven’t watched the video yet but a silhouetted image of your dad from the thumbnail with “SHAO-LIN HOOKSET” written above it would make an awesome EPF shirt!
A lot of Channel,Flathead catfish,Freshwater drum,Hybrid stripper bass in Ohio River Marietta area.Get some Kentucky bass about 10 mile north of here which are a breed of themselves.
Leo my man. Get a cast net! Go buy some goldfish or get creek chubs or use that drum if you want to catch fish in that river system! Or any river system for that matter my friend! Great videos good luck and best of recovery to you father.! ✌🏽
And do you feel you need to buy a more expensive kastking for good performance or all they all good performance in all price ranges? Iv been researching them and I'm very interested in trying one..ty for any input on this..👍
Night fishing is the best bigger fish comes out brotha go fishing by the Parking Wharf free parking at night I usually use lures jerk bait right by the shorelines hit smallmouth all day
I really enjoy EPF's videos. Don't think I'm nuts but I'd really like to see you catch a bull shark in a fresh or brackish river. Love your accent and your conversations in mandarin(I hope I got that language right) with your family , it keeps things interesting Fish on!!!!!
