For a 4.5 L sling I think the strap is too thin especially if your going to fill the bag up with heavy stuff. That and I would love to have another zipper pocket Infront just like the aer day sling 3
The flatter slings with thin straps are sort of sacoche ish to me. I like a tad wider strap personally, helps when there is some weight in there. I often throw a small camera and battery bank in my slings if I use them, so they end up with the weight. My perfect one is the venture 6L, it’s got enough structure on the bottom for even bigger cameras and a wider strap.
Would you consider doing a video about pouches that could be used as cosmetics pouch for traveling (for backpacks and/or suitcases)? I am in search of one but I do not have much luck finding anything good and tech pouches really don’t work.
Another great review. The AER Pro Sling certainly seems worth taking a closer second look. Presently, my sling preference, based on frequency of use, is the Nutsac original Sling (5.2L, I think), but I also grab a Nutsac Speed Sling (2.5L) on those days I'm going out and just need to clear my pockets. Last week I took delivery of an Alpaka Bravo Max V2 Sling (10L) and am looking forward to using it on those days the Nutsac Original Sling Bag is just not quite big enough to handle the task. Decisions...decisions...could it getany better? LOL.

my fave sling is my aer day sling 3 xpac. looks good. carries what i need it to carry. my go to sling is a mark ryden light line sling. why? its malleable but waterproof superlight material. also like 20usd when on sale. i don't know what the specific material is tho it has a face i think but super light weight. i carry it always in a backpack i carry and if i want to go lighter i leave the backpack and carry the sling. i haven't gotten the aer go sling2 yet but i imagine that's how the mark ryden is also, except aer would have more premium fabrics(and price) can you recommend a collapsible backpack that's water resistant and around 20usd?
I love my Day Sling 3, but it doesn't do very well with bottles. This might be the fit for me. Too bad the prices of these products have just gotten outrageously high over the last few years.
I love the Bellroy Chimera collab sling. I know it’s limited edition, so the Venture 6L would be my fall back. I went from an Aer Day Sling 3 and the expansion and extra capacity of the Chimera is just fantastic. I don’t care for the leather bonded blah blah blah… but the organizational layout is the clincher. Far more useful than any other sling, including the Venture 6L. I also like the beefy strap because it solves the one problem I have with all seatbelt like straps, which is slippage and too much movement when active.
Great feedback. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect sling that can handle minimal Edc, but also to hold a mirrorless or a compact film camera along with my edc s**t. My AER day sling 3 is a bit crouded and non versatile. Will look for that venture. Aaron - if you have other recommendations don't be shy
I don’t do camera stuff but our videographer Tav likes to use the Nomatic Navigator 6L sling for his EDC and light camera gear. It’s not a designated camera bag but he loves it
